awwww that's a good thing right??

message 954: by [deleted user] (new)

Guess so.

message 955: by Sam (new)

Sam (Readlovelaughlive) | 4404 comments Is the ice breaker obsessions? I don't really have one either... Well, I absolutely love food and I'm kind of crazy about it, and I'm a little crazy about Chopin... But I don't think they classify as obsessions. I'm not like, looking Chopin up on google every five minutes :P

message 956: by [deleted user] (new)

Hahaha. Maybe I'm obsessed with procrastinating. I can't seem to shake it off.

lol im obsessed with....how awesome our youth group is

message 959: by Jennah (new)

Jennah (strawberryblonde) okkk moving on :)...Ice Breaker: Pick one person out of the Bible and what would be the one question you would love to ask them? You can have several questions if you like :). I'm sure we would all pick Jesus so don't pick Him.

message 960: by [deleted user] (new)

Could I pick one of the disciples so I could ask them questions about Jesus? ;)

message 961: by Jennah (last edited May 27, 2013 06:38PM) (new)

Jennah (strawberryblonde) Yep!! lol

message 962: by [deleted user] (new)

Jennah (strawberryblonde) Christal wrote: "Okay :) Then I'll pick John."

What would you ask him?

message 965: by [deleted user] (new)

King Hezekiah! He's so awesome.I guess I would ask him... How he put his trust in the Lord so fully, loving him and worshiping Him with his whole heart when so many of the kings preceeding him walked in the way of Jeroboam... what was his experience with the Lord like. Another question would be what it felt to have his life be lengthened 15 years!

I finished up 2Kings today, so he's still so fresh in my mind.

Those are good questions!

message 967: by Sam (new)

Sam (Readlovelaughlive) | 4404 comments Job. Ask him about all the experiences and testimonies he had from God that contributed to his amazing, unwavering faith. His testimonies would be so inspiring to hear.

Jennah wrote: "Christal wrote: "Okay :) Then I'll pick John."

Hmm, I don't know. Probably would ask him what other kinds of parables Jesus taught besides the ones written down in the Bible. I love the parables!

I woud love to hear his testimonies. I love testimonies, they are so powerful and as you said, inspiring.

Good question!

message 971: by [deleted user] (new)

Fromthe NT... Stephen. I admire him so much.Maybe even more so after reading a historical Christian fiction where he was one of the main characters. He just has such a great personality and qualities. I would ask him about his final moments as he was brought outside of the city to be stoned and he looked up and saw the Lord standing at the right hand of God. Also as a deacon and follower of Christ right at that crucial time before Paul even came into the picture... Wow, I would sure like to hear his stories and about all the things he saw and experienced those early years of the church.

message 972: by Sam (new)

Sam (Readlovelaughlive) | 4404 comments From the NT, I wanna meet Mary Magdalena. Ask her how it felt to sit in the presence of Jesus and be cleansed of sin. Her redemption was so deep.. Also, I wonder how it felt to be with Martha. The temptation to wait on Jesus and still be busy with the world and how everything appears carnally, instead of Jesus' words.

I would pick...Mary and ask her what it was like to raise Jesus. Or maybe Joseph and ask him what is was like to be kind of like a second father to Jesus. And if I couldn't ask them a question, then I'd asked Daniel how it felt to kill Goliath.

message 976: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Jennah wrote: "Ice Breaker: What's the silliest thing you have heard people say about you?"

I had someone compare me to Anne of Green Gables before. This was silly because...

1. I am not that talkative (although I was a bit excited that day, and I do respond to people who talk to me, and she was very friendly)
2. I was a dirty blonde, not a redhead
3. I was not skinny

and other things I can't think of right now

Better marry an Asian or a Native American; every one else pretty much will have facial hair. :)

I don't mind the fact that they possess facial hair - they wouldn't be a man if they didn't have facial hair :P My concern is whether or not they shave it ;)

message 979: by Rachel (new)

Rachel :) My husband either wears a full beard, a goatee, or shaves it completely. He changes it from time to time randomly. It's one of the few ways men are allowed to experiment with their appearance. I find it amusing. :)

Rachel Jennah wrote: "okkk moving on :)...Ice Breaker: Pick one person out of the Bible and what would be the one question you would love to ask them? You can have several questions if you like :). I'm sure we would all..."

I would choose Leah and ask her how it felt to be unloved by her husband even though she gave him so many sons.

message 981: by Jacklyn (new)

Jacklyn | 525 comments I would ask a Pharisee what Jesus wrote on the ground when they wanted to stone the adulteress.

ohohoh! that that i forget...snap nicodemus!!! i thought his journey with Jesus and trying to seek the truth as a pharisee was cool although i still want to talk to Paul

message 983: by [deleted user] (new)

Paul would be amazing. He went through so much and saw...everything. Man, Silas was one lucky dude.

I cannot remember Leah in the Bible :( I am disappointed in myself.

message 992: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol, don't worry, you're not the only person who can't remember people from the Bible. xD

message 993: by Jennah (new)

Jennah (strawberryblonde) haha that's true. But I still feel like I should know her. Oh well.

message 994: by Jennah (new)

Jennah (strawberryblonde) The person I would pick would be Esther. I would ask her EVERYTHING! She had such trust in her Lord and she cared for God's people so much that she risked her own life.

message 995: by [deleted user] (new)

I know, right? She was so strong, and I might have cracked under that kind of pressure if not for God being there!

*snicker* if you wore boots back then! I'm sorry, that was stupid and corny lol. x'D

message 998: by Jennah (new)

Jennah (strawberryblonde) lol that was actually quite funny! I would be shaking in my dress lol

Jacob married Leah and her sister Rachel, and their two maids, Zilpah and Bilhah, became his concubines. I believe their situation is why when God gave Moses the law, one of the commands was a man should not marry a woman and her sister. :)
