japanese animation is extremely fake. have you noticed that every one of their dramas includes a quite naive girl? usually gorgeous with huge eyes, long hair or quite short, has a perfect body? it looks fine on a computer, but imagine you are walking down a street and a girl with HUGE anime eyes and that type of face and body walking past you. it's scary! it's extremely fake and disgusting!

Ok, I shall! What I mean, is...cartoons like, mickey mouse, pop eye, Atom Ant, looney tunes, bugs bunny, road runner, the japanese characters that you posted, any stuff like that. Not animation movies like, Over the Hedge, Nemo, Croods, Ice Age, that rapunzel movie that I can't think of what it is called at the moment, etc.

One of my friends focused on something similar in a paper for our American Minorities Sociology class in college. Our final paper had to be about a representation of a stereotype and whether or not you agreed with the idea of using stereotypes or not. I seem to recall her exact title was "Is this a man or a woman?" picture of random anime supposedly male character :). I did mine on the Swedish Chef and included some other muppets for comparison. That was a fun paper. :)

message 464: by Rachel (new)

Rachel let's see: cartoon character. I'm not big on cartoons much, but it's probably be this little guy from one of my all-time favorite cartoons: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h...

I have several neurological problems (a seizure disorder, a spine problem, and a brain tumor) that really affect me in no real practical way, making me quite a healthy sick person!

Sam (Readlovelaughlive) | 4404 comments Weirdest thing about me? I actually don't know whether boys are physically attractive or not. I've decided to cross out "model-screener" on my list of potential careers. *shrug*

Lena (zhenglena) | 2091 comments weirdest thing about me..... i can laugh for three mins straight without stopping, i have color days where i only wear one color the whole day, i walk barefoot, i have ramen withdrawal symptoms, i talk when i sleep, i hog all the blankets when i sleep, i listen to audiobooks, and i ask weird questions like, "whats the weirdest thinga bout me?" (these were all listed from my sister)

message 485: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmmm... the wierdest thing about me? Whenever someone asks me a question I just stare at them for a few seconds while the question sinks in. That just started recently, probably because my mind is full of other things, most of which I shouldn't even be thinking about.

message 486: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't like chips (except tostitos and sweet chili heat doritos). I don't like pop either... although I used to be a pepsi-holic. Or popcorn...

message 487: by [deleted user] (new)

Ashley wrote: "I don't like chocolate! :D"

I don't really like it either, but every so often I get the strangest feeling that my body MUST have it. :)

message 488: by Jennah (new)

Jennah (strawberryblonde) Ok, this people, is weird. When I was little I COULDN'T stand watching or someone saying spongebob. I wouldn't eat for the rest of the day if someone turned it on or if somebody said his name. I actually lost a few pounds because of not eating because I felt like I was going to throw up so that's why I didn't eat. As I got older, I still CANNOT stand it. If someone says his name or turns on the show, I refuse to eat for an hour because I feel like I am going to throw up. And when I am talking about him, I have to say "s" instead of saying his name.

It's so bad for you though. Especially dark pop. Contains phosphoric acid which sucks calcium from your bones and is linked to osteoporosis.

I absolutely despise spongebob. I find that show nasty. Even memes aren't funny to me if spongebob is on it.
I don't get why parents allow their kids to watch it.

Cari, I love you! Lol I agree too, it's filthy and it actually makes people retarded. I'm serious, it really does. If someone turns it on, I feel like my brain is getting retarded.

I was going to use that word to describe it, too. Haha. I read an article about how watching spongebob makes kids stupid. If I see anything spongebob related, I shudder. As my sister would say, it's "disgustified".

lol I love your sister's choice of word. See, there, it is proved that it does make people "whoo hoo". My mom heard it on the radio that they proved it also.
