The Time Traveller Challenge

Historical literature is one of the most popular genres read by UK Book Group and it has been suggested by Vicky (and supported by many others) that we set up a challenge for those of us who like nothing better than travelling back in time!

After much discussion, we've decided upon a quarterly historical challenge: Beginning with Ancient Times, we will be making our way back to the present day.

There will be a new thread each quarter for members to post comments about relevant historical events, people and places. We would love to hear suggestions of books you've read or plan to read from that period.

Books may be fiction or factual, they may date from that time or be modern works based in that time.

We welcome all contributions to further our discussions and who knows, we may even learn some things along the way. I hope to prove a more worthy member of the pub quiz team as a result of this!
