Michael Brookes (technohippy) Exit Strategy by L.F. Falconer

L F Falconer joins me for today's guest author interview:

If you could spend a day with anyone from history, who would it be?

Just one for one day? What a tough choice. Off the top of my head, I might opt for Benjamin Franklin. I believe he'd be fairly entertaining for a day and probably wouldn't mind going out for a beer at the end of it.

Michael Brookes (technohippy) D*E*D Dead by Larry "Animal" Garner

In today's guest authors revisited I catch up with Larry Garner and find out what he's been up to since I last interviewed him in December.

Have you become a better writer? If so, how?
I believe anyone who pays attention will become a better writer, even if the changes are unintentional. Just the act of interacting with readers and other writers causes me to mentally file away information and observances that ring a bell with me.

Michael Brookes (technohippy) Heart of the Witch by Judy Goodwin

Fantasy and science fiction author Judy Goodwin joins me in today's guest author interview:

"And what attracted you to fantasy?
I've always loved elements of fantasy in books, again from a very young age. Whether it was Mrs. Piggle Wiggle or Madeleine L'Engle's "Wrinkle in Time", I loved exploring other worlds and things beyond our understanding. I read "The Hobbit" at age nine and "Lord of the Rings" when I was ten. I think it's the struggle of good against evil that draws me to fantasy the most."

Michael Brookes (technohippy) The Tears of Orion (Opening Moves, #1) by James Traynor

Science fiction and fantasy author James Traynor joins me in today's guest author interview:

What do you find most rewarding about writing?
There's nothing like the experience of seeing a plot come together or realizing that your universe is coming to life. Though the most humbling experience has to be to receive positive reader feedback. If you've entertained and interested someone from halfway across the world enough for that person to write you, you know you're on the right track.

Michael Brookes (technohippy) The Telefax Box by Toni Seger

In today's guest author interview we meet Toni Seger:

What advice would you give new and aspiring authors?
I always try to encourage burgeoning writers and urge them to not let themselves get discouraged or blocked. Write at every opportunity you have and don’t expect it to be perfect because you can always improve what you’ve done with another draft. If you want to write novels, expect to throw out the first one or even two. The only way to learn how to write a novel is to write one. So, go ahead. Make mistakes, learn from them and you’ll find you’re a better and better writer.

Michael Brookes (technohippy) Just for Kicks by Racheal Renwick

Racheal Renwick joins me in today's guest author interview:

What do you find most rewarding about writing?

What I love most about being able to write, is the great feeling of sharing my stories with others. Especially teens. Books were my escape in those awkward years. It’s also one of the toughest times in your life –trying to figure out who you are and how to deal with growing up and becoming an adult. Sometimes it’s refreshing to be able to relate to someone just like you. Even if that person’s fictional.
