Selena Haskins (booksbyselena) This was a good idea Travis! I have had several, but I don't want to steal the whole spotlight from other authors. I only posted two, one in written form and the other is a radio (audio) interview. Enjoy!

I have more interesting ones yet to go live, but these are some of the interviews I have taken. A few other interviews I have taken that some may consider to be author interviews and others may not, because they are real interviews with my fictional characters, but as the author I had to answer them so I do consider them to count for this thread:

Mandana (mandanatowhidy) | 21 comments my radio interview on bbc radio that happened a couple of weeks ago...it's a bit of fun. they edited out all mention of my book...but the entire reason why i was even asked on was because my novel is heavy metal! it's still a good piece to use when promoting the book. and if you need a laugh, it's good for that, too. \m/

message 33: by Lilo (new)

Lilo (liloh-p) MESSAGE TO ALL MODERN GOOD READS MEMBERS:

Please check out Crystal Smith Connelly's website and blog. She declares Adolf Hitler as her favorite person, his book "Mein Kampf" as her favorite book, doesn't watch movies because Hollywood is run by Jews, her hobby is "being mean to Jews", and her motto is "DEATH TO THE JEWS!".

If this person is allowed to remain in Modern Good Reads group, I'll see myself compelled to leave.

Anyone who shares my opinion, PLEASE SPEAK UP! I think this person should not even be allowed ANYWHERE on Goodreads.

message 34: by Darlene (new)

Darlene Deluca (darlenedeluca) | 14 comments Three Writers of Romance is concluding their spring guest author series today with a visit from romance author Roberta Capizzi. Hope you'll stop by and say hello!

www.threewritersofromance.com

message 35: by Crystal (new)

Crystal Smith-Connelly | 8 comments Lilo, where exactly do I say Hitler is my favorite person? The post you're commenting on is a character profile of Hitler...my book takes place in Hell, and since no one belongs there more than Hitler, he's a character in the book and even Satan hates him. Maybe you should do a little research before you attack a comedy writer for something she wrote on her blog.

message 36: by Lilo (new)

Lilo (liloh-p) Hi, Crystal,

I am sorry if I misunderstood you. It is true, I read everything on Goodreads fast as keeping up with social media takes lots of time.

On the other hand, maybe you should also think twice about what you write. I did not find any reference to any book or stage-play you have written with this topic. And the heading of this blog, to me, was -- and actually, still is -- totally incomprehensible. I don't think it's only me who wouldn't get it.

I used to write comedy and stage plays myself. Your kind of humor is probably not my kind of humor.

You really might want to check with other people if they understand this blog and its mysterious heading as humor.

There is no accounting for taste, but it might be a good idea to make sure everybody gets it that this is about a comedy. This is too serious a matter for misunderstandings.

Anyway, I am glad you are no neo-Nazi. I was born in 1939 and grew up in Hitler's Germany. Reading anything (presumedly) anti-Semitic makes my blood boil.

Relax! By attacking you I gave you some publicity. So more people will check out your website.

message 37: by Crystal (new)

Crystal Smith-Connelly | 8 comments Hi, Lilo. The heading of the blog says "Never Trust an Angel character profile: Hitler," so I thought it was pretty clear that the blog post was from his point of view, not mine...I also did profiles for Satan, God, Jesus, and Satan's wife and son. I guess if you've never been to my website before, you might not know that Never Trust an Angel is the title of my new book, but it's mentioned a few times on my website and Goodreads page. You're probably right that my kind of humor isn't your kind of humor...my role models are people like Trey Parker and Sarah Silverman, so my sense of humor is a little twisted, and some people might be offended by it, even though it's not meant to be taken seriously. : )
