A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 43 comments A lot of blogs have author interviews but I have yet to see any from the perspective of readers. I know what I enjoy in a book, what turns me off, what attracts me to pick up a book in the first place but what about others? Authors are given advice of what to do and what not to do, how to attract readers and reviewers and what to avoid but is this good advice? What do the readers actually think?
I am looking for readers of the following genres to do a blog interview – fantasy, sci-fi, romance and erotica, although I may be open to guest posts from other genres. I am choosing these genres as that are what I like to read. As a reader it fascinates me that a book I might love the next reader might hate and as an author what do readers want?
Authors are also welcome to be interviewed, either as a reader or a writer and I aim to have 1 reader interview and one author interview a week, although of course this is not set in stone due to my own commitments, the amount of people who want to sign up and the general issues of life which get in the way.
If you would like to be involved please send me a PM with whether you wish to be interviewed as a reader or an author and I will accommodate you.
I am also looking for people willing to review books they have read in these genres, but please check out the guidelines for acceptable reviews.
