LibraryCin | 20 comments Ok, after I tried an isbn search that brought up nothing, I was given the option to add the book myself. (Eeek, I've already done that - maybe I should have double checked it by searching the title, as well.)

I was actually coming here to ask if there was a way for me to also upload an image of the cover, but I'm seeing all these threads asking someone to add a book for them.

So, in addition to the cover question, I'm confused about why people are asking others to add a book if we can do this ourselves? I think I just did it...

Thanks.

LibraryCin | 20 comments Aw, crap! And I just did a title search (should have done it first, but I thought the isbn search would be more accurate), and I found it, so the one I added doesn't need to be there.

Is there a way for me to delete it completely, or can the two editions just be combined (if the one I just added can't be deleted).

Sorry!

Oh, here's a link to the two:

Brand-new users cannot manually add books.

Some users find manually adding a book confusing or challenging or just want to be sure it's done correctly.

Whatever the reason, users are always welcome to ask for a book to be added.

Adding covers requires librarian status.

LibraryCin | 20 comments Just looked a little closer and the edition of the one that was already in there has the isbn for the electronic version of the book. I searched for the print isbn.

Before I go ahead and edit anymore, can I edit the book that's already there and add in the print isbn?

Thanks.

Re #2: Combined. The two editions have different ISBNs, though. Both are valid, unique editions.

Edit: Edition that previously had its format incorrectly changed reverted.
