The Screaming Onion
Yoji glared at Eric as he walked away, unimpressed with his flirty mannerisms. He picked up a menu and browsed through it a little. "Wow, this all looks so good."
Adrian picked up her menu as well, "I agree," she had never been here before. "I think I will get a salad though," she was watching her weight, "what about you?"
"A salad? That's it? Well I think I am going to get a big, juicy steak," he said, giving her a sideways grin.
"Well I don't know..." he trailed off. "Ah, why not?" He laughed. He looked back out over the ocean, sunset casting beautiful colors across the water.
Adrian waved the waitor over.
"How may I help you?" he asked directly to Adrian.
"We're ready to order," she smiled.
He got his notepad out, "What can I get you?"
"Ill have the Cesar salad and a side of shrimp please," she handed him her menu.
"Very well," he made sure to touch her hand when taking the menu.

Yoji slid his hand into Adrian's, giving a gentle squeeze. "And I'll have the T-bone combo and some coffee, please and thanks." He once again glared at Eric, but not in an obvious way.
Noticing Yoji move he looks away, "Right away," he smiles at both of them and leaves.
Adrian squeezes his hand back and smiles at him.

"Have I mentioned how great you look tonight? Because you look fantastic," Yoji said, caressing her hand with his thumb.
"Yes, but it I love hearing everything you say even if it is repeated," she rubbed her ankle against his leg under the table.
She flushed a bright a bright red. Feeling a need to be close to him she scoots her chair next to him and lays her head on his shoulder.
The waitor came and cleared his throat, "I have your food."
Adrian picked her head up and looked at Eric.
"Here you go," he set their food in front of them and left.

Yoji dug in and remained silent for a few minutes. "So do you have any pets?" He asked, and took a drink of coffee.
Yoji took a drink before starting. "About a week before we left for the US, we went out to some rural areas to say goodbye to some family members. While we were out there, an older man was selling cooked cat. He had the cats in a cage, and you could choose which one you wanted. It was really sad. Long story short, we happened to buy two hairless kittens so they wouldn't be eaten. In honor of our fresh start, them as pets and us as Americans, one is named Washington, the other Lincoln."
She just nodded and took a bite of her salad not thinking it was funny.
((She's obsessed with animal rights and stuff like that))

((Her parents are strict, she's not allowed to have one because she's not responsible enough))
She lightened up a little and squeezed his hand back making sure to smile at him.

((Okay :) ))Yoji had a few more bites. "There is a myth that there is a serpent out at sea, watching, protecting." He once again looked out to the water, the sun three quarters of the way hidden on the edge.
"Yes, its name is Miakou, and it patrols every sea. It protects those who are honorable in their deeds. There have been stories of sailors claiming that a giant serpent kept their ship from sinking, even though the damage was clearly fatal." Yoji looked back at Adrian with a somber smile. "I want to meet Miakou some day."
"Well it's not just that. Some say when you have found your soul mate, Miakou will appear to you in one form or another," Yoji said. "I know, it is stupid."
Loving his touch she closes her eyes. The sound of waves crashing against the beach and the smell of roses from the candle on their table making her feel completely relaxed.
Yoji cleared his throat and pushed all thought of Miakou from his head. He ate a few more bites until he was full. He took a few more drinks.
Adrian opened her eyes and looked at Yoji, she felt lucky to even know him. She finished her salad and took a drink of water.
Yoji beamed, the beach was his first choice. He payed for their dinner then walked Adrian back to the truck.((To the beach!))
Riley watched as his friends left the restaurant. He was sitting at a table that was in the middle of the activity. Pulling his shirt sleeve up his wrist, he glanced at his watch, checking to see how much time he had until practice. Seeing that he had time, he leaned back in his chair and took a sip of his water and watched the people around him.
Alana sat in an empty booth near the back of the restaurant, she was waiting for the bill for her meal to come. Drake and Elisa had already left and now she was alone. Running a hand over her dress she smoothed out it's fabric as she absently glanced around the room.
Riley looked towards the back of the room. Sitting alone in a booth was a girl who was about his age. She looked vaguely familiar but her couldn't quite place her. Their eyes met and Riley flashed her his lop sided grin.
Alana meets Riley's gaze and gives him a small half smile before turning to the waiter that had appeared at her table. Taking the bill she begins to dig through her purse for her wallet. Once she had found it, she took out the desired amount of bills and slipped them into the small black booklet that the waiter had handed her.

"Right away madame," he left the deck and came back with menus, "if there's anything else you need just let me know, my names Eric," he winked and then left the table.
