----------------------------------------------------
"No, Princess. Its Lysander. Victor is still talking with mother. You look so lovely and grown Princess Julia." he said to her with smile. He ran his hand through his hair, it was still wet from his bath so it looked darker like Victors. "I do hope you are enjoying the party." he added as he touched one of the beautiful rose bushes that lay in his mother's garden.

Sam nodded to his queen, his gaze going to the somewhat run down Inn. He unwillingly release Cassandra from his hold and walked to the ragged cloth door. He pulled it to one side, but paused in the entrance to look back at his queen. He didn't wish to leave her alone, but she may be safer outside than in there for all he knew. So, Samuel walked inward and towards the small area designed for check in. The woman behind the desk held an air of burden to her, wrinkles claiming her features and darkness clouded beneath her muddy brown eyes. It was ironic she worked at a place designed for the weary to get sleep and yet the woman had none of her own. Sam approached her and asked if she had a space available, and she was happy to say yes. Sam handed her two silver coins, a few of the knew they had escapes with. He headed towards the entrance again to retrieve his queen.
Abigail reached her hand towards the flame but she was startled when a hand grasped her shoulder. "You bess not be tamperin' with these flames again!" an elderly grump of a man huffed. Abby jumped to her feet and turned from him, hands behind her back near the fire and innocent eyes on his.
"I never would," she assured with a hint of a younger girl's voice than what she should have. The man did not seem like he believed the young lady, though. "Honests." He huffed out another breath and a chain words not so holy as he walked away. Abby watched him for a moment before looking to a woman that had glanced her way. Abigail flashed a small, mischievous smile. Her hands still behind her back Abby opened one and dropped a cloud of dust--well, what anyone would assume to be just dust--into the flames. It was far from dust. The flames sprang to life and a burst of smoke clouding out for meters. And when the smoke vanished and the grumpy man had gotten back to the fire, Abby had left.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Julia almost blushed at her mistake of the brothers, but embarassment wasn't like her, it never had been even when she had plenty of reason to be embarrassed. "Well, I do suppose since I am in the gardens rather than the corridors with the others shows simply how fascinated I am with the party, as you said it to be," she said with a grin, not being insulting of the festivities at all. She just didn't find the particular crowd very...wanted on her part. Too much political talk for her taste currently. She quickly changed the subject. "My prince, it is so nice to see you again. You've...matured," she said simply, still stunned at just how much Lysander had grown up.

![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
Cassandra had been watching the girl. She had given her a mischievous smile as she threw some sort of dust around the man that was holding her. She raised an eyebrow looking around as she searched for the girl. Once she caught her she could help going after her. She moved quickly and quietly until she caught the girl. "What was that thing you poured, it was like sand." She asked her curiously as she moved close to the girl.
-----------------------------------------------------
"Well the wouldn't let a boy be king now would they princess" Lysander said with a charming smile. "Please, allow me to walk you. I know it is my celebration but politics tends to bore me" he said as he walked up to her and extended his arm for her to take. She was absolutely stunning. He never thought that the girl he once played with would turn into this beauty.

Sam peered to the spot he had left his queen, but she had vanished. His heart dropped, and a panic began to swim within him. The worst possibilities wormed their way to the surface of his mind. What if someone recognized her and took her? He began to quickly search for her, moving past people quickly and looking over each inch of the crowded streets. It took a few stressful moments before he set eyes on her. Sam almost died of relief. He didnt waste time to go to her.
Abigail had no intension of sticking around that part of the city considering that old grump would have her a mouth full. She had tried to make a clean escape where no one followed. The moment someone spoke to her, Abby's knew her gateway wasnt clean enough and she turned quickly to face the speaker. Ah, it was just the young woman. Abby gave her a smile and glanced back to the somewhat far away frames that were falling smaller now. "Where would the fun be if I told you?" she said, still grinning as she returned her gaze to the woman. She noticed a man starting to make his way directly to them, his target seeming to be the woman. He looked relief. Abby assumed he thought he had lost the young lady since she followed after Abigail.
-----------
Julia took the future king's arm, not thinking of it as being as anything more than a kind gesture. She had not let her small fall. The years had done both of the bothers well, though she could now see the obvious differences and was nearly embarrassed she mistook them. "A king who does not enjoy the speak of politics?" she said with a somewhat humorous tone. "What will you do when that is all that you have before you?" she asked, examining him as the walked slowly onward.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
-------------------------------------
Lysander chuckled as he looked at her. "I dislike things that are nonsense in form. I prefer to hear the problem and search for a fair solution. Politics is men twisting words and are old cynical men. And as your king I ask you to seal your rosy lips of this truth that I speak." he said with a laugh. He looked at the rose and plucked it out. "To ensure your secrecy" he said with a grin.

Sam stopped only once he reached the side of his queen. "You wondered from where i left you," he said disapprovingly with a frown. His eyes went over his queen to ensure she was not injured. He then glanced to the girl Cassandra had been speaking to.
------
"Oh, but do you not know the gossips women are?" Julia teased, taking the rose from her king and looking at its beauty. She would tell no one of Lysander's view of politics. He spoke the truth in ways, it was all about using the right words and hoping no one questioned you. This was another reason Julia wished to stick away from the political world. It was like a war with words. Who ever spoke the best conjured lies could defeat the other. Julia was clever with speech, though lying was sometimes her hindering factor.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
-------
"But you are no ordinary woman princess." Lysander spoke. "You are a rose among daisies. You stand out and shine better than the rest. And if memory serves me right, I do believe you are quiet clever in schems. Do you recall the governess that taught us that one summer when we were children?" Lysander said with a chuckle as he recalled the memory.

Abigail observed the woman careful, not sure what to think of her. She looked back to the flame that had now gone back ro normal size. "I do not believe that another fire show is best here," she said distantly before returning her eyes to the woman. "Though you may have some if you wish. It's a special mixture of...well, like i said," she smiled a bit wider, "a mystery."
----------
Julia remembered her times with the brothers quite well. Each one stored away for safe keeping. "I recall them indeed," she said with a faint laugh. "Those days were ages ago, though my Prince--soon to be King i suppose i should say," she said with a smile. "Who are you to assume I have not shed my rose peddles and lost my thorns over time?" Julia had not recalled Lysander ever flirting with her--well to an extent of this nature. Julia dismissed the idea and replaced it with the thoughts of Lysander just being kind.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
-------------
"ah, because though a roses may loose its peddles and its thorns may not be as strong, its scent still burns as if it is young. And that is something I do believe you possess." Lysander said with a smile at her.
"Prince Lysander, Princess Julia. I apologize for interrupting. The king has called for you Prince Lysander" A guard spoke bowing in their presence.
"ah, it seems I am needed for war strageties. Until we meet again, I'm afraid. " Lysander spoke kindly to the princess. "Oh, do allow my dear brother to converse with you. I am sure he will need rescuing from the Queen" Lysander chuckled as he walked away.

"Abigail," she introduced, still smiling. The wind picked up without warning and a loud sound from the distance rolled over the lands. Abigail frowned at first only to have another smile come up. "Seems a storm is nearing. The only weakness to fire," she added to as a side note. "You do not seem from these parts. Do you have shelter from the storm?"
------
Julia was about to reply to the prince when a guard approached and pulled him from her. Julia curtsied to Lysander. "I will indeed find Victor," she said with probably a bit more telling in her voice than it should. "I shall see you soon, my prince," she added as he began to walk from her. Julia started to roam the halls again, guessing where the queen and Victor may be. Soon she could her the queen snapping at her son just as she always had. Julia smiled to herself as she slowly entered the room. "My queen," she greeted sweetly, dropping into a curtsey before standing. "Victor," she said more familiar and with a different sort of emotion than her other greetings.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
------------
"I do apologize dear mother. Do forgive me" Victor said looking into his mother eyes. Her eyes softened at her son.
"Well I-" his mother began but was soon greeted by Princess Julia.
Victor's heart jumped with delight. He smiled at her as he made a small bow to greet her. "Julia, what a pleasant surprise."
"Oh my, Julia, you have grown so beautiful. It had been long since I have seen you. oh dear heavens, my your father and mother have arrived already and yet I have not greeted them properly. I must go at once. Excuse me" The Queen said exited with grace.

Abigail looked to the Inn. "I would not risk a night there ," she said. "There are many sort who take rest in that place. Most of them not exactly the friendly type." She moved her gaze back to the two. "There is a small place near the outer edge of the city. It's shared by many, but they are good people even if odd. That's where I have been since I left from my mother's and father's home. You're both welcome to stay for the night."
----
Julia stepped from the doorway to allow the Queen her more room to exit. She watched her glide from the room with such much grace and wondered how it was possible to be that agile and beautiful. Perhaps it simply comes with age? She was not sure, she just could not see herself being that graceful even with years of practice. Julia returned her eyes to Victor. "Do tell, what on Earth have you been up to since the last time i saw you that made your mother be so cross with you," she said with a small grin and a teasing tone.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
--------------
Victor laughed and shook his head as he looked at her. "I'm afraid, my brother and I, had too much fun hunting and we ended up covered in mud. Mother wasn't to happy about it considering it is brother's bid day" he said with a smile. He ran a hand through his hair nervously. She always made him in fear of doing something stupid in front of her.

"Are we to trust her?" Sam asked, his voice serious as he watched the girl enter the crowd. "She is a stranger who could be anyone." Sam ran the worst possibilities. One of them pointed to street urchin who would do anything to get some money, and if she knew of who Cassandra was, the girl may even turn her over to some bad people for some gold coins. Other theories ran through his head as well, none pleasant.
-------------
"Ah, but you are clean now," Julia said after she laughed lightly. She looked over the stunning prince. "And you look quite handsome," she added as she returned her gaze to his. He looked even more ravishing than the last time she set eyes on him. Both brothers should thank their parents for being such attractive people. Julia had noticed a few times that the King was handsome. Though Victor did not favor after his father as much as his brother did, in personality and looks.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
----
Victor felt his hands get sweaty as the princess complimented him. Most the girls preferred his brother which he didn't mind because his brother had a more open personality than he didn. "Why thank you princess. And of course you make the moon and sun blush at your beauty. Would you like me to escort you to the ball? " he asked her

Sam did not reply to his queen. He watched her take off after the stranger and let out a breath as he followed after. Sam decided to stay a stride and a half behind, so it was close enough to protect Cassandra if needed, but far enough to let her have her female time with this girl.
---------------
Julia couldnt help the pink that rose to her cheeks at Victor 's words. She looked from him with her innocent smile as he continued to talk. She refocused on the prince when he asked her if she wished him to escort her. "I would love for you to escort me," she replied, turning a few stray strands of hairs behind her ear.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
-----
Victor extended his arm for her to take. He was so captured by her presences and his heart seemed to pound in his chest when she took his arm and they began walking into the ball room. "Today is truly beautiful. My brother will soon be crowned the king and I have the pleasure of escorting you to the ball." he said

Sam pushed his wag passed people to ensure he stay close to Cassandra. He would not dare let her get out of his sight. He may even get enraged if someone so much as bumps into her. Even if they know not who she is, they should avoid running into a lady even not of royalty.
------
Julia would agree to the beauty of the day. She had oftened looked forward to balls and the crowning of one of the boys she had known her whole life. But the beauty of the day resided in the fact she was simply around Victor and she got to see his brother who she had not in so long. "Tis a beautiful day indeed," confirmed Julia, staying close to her escort as the two walked. "With the mention of our soon to be king, when will the to be queen be decided?" It was a curious question that the kingdom had bouncing in their brains. Maybe Victor would be more knowledgable able it than others considering he was the brother of the future king.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
---
"Hmmm..that is indeed a good question. And there is no doubt in my mind that my mother has already planned whom the wife will be and everything up to the wedding if I know her." Victor said with a chuckle as they entered the ballroom. It was filled with noblemen and other upperclassmen. He smiled and waved as he saw his dear brother. "I believe my brother deserves the absolute best so whomever mother chooses, I'm betting it will be someone of excellent taste" he whispered to her.

Sam pulled the cloth aside to let Cassandra through. He had caught up and looked into the home as he pulled the cloth aside, making sure it was safe. From the look of it, there was no pressing danger. But he was ready still.
---------
Julia looked at the well dressed, classy number of nobility through the ball room. Most she had met, but many she had forgotten over the years. She looked to Victor when he finished whispering his answer to her question. With a smile, she nodded. "I am sure your mother will not disappoint him," agreed Julia. Victor's mother was very good as Queen. She would not leave the spot to someone any less of a woman than she. And much less would she get one of her sons a bride not worthy of her boys. "Shall we find out soon?"
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
---
"Once my father places the crown on my brother's head, my mother will surely announce it with my father. It would be the perfect moment." he said with her, a dazzling smile on his lips as he saw his mother gesturing for him to come. "Oh, I suppose we will find out now, I must go and stand beside my brother. Do allow me a dance later?" he asked her quickly while he had the chance.

Samuel follow in, somewhat shocked at the bone and skin children looking at them with dirty faces. He knew the world was like this, even before the king was killed. But it had indeed gotten worse since his murder.
------
Julia let her arm slip from Victor's as he began to step away, her hand sliding down his arm to let her fingers catch his hand for a brief moment before dropping her hand to her side. "You may have ss many as you wish, Victor," she told him with a soft smile. Her eyes stayed with his gaze as she spoke.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
----
"You will soon regret those words for I shall make you dance until you no longer can walk" Victor said with a smile as he wished he could have held her hand longer. He slowly turned as he gave her a bow then was on the stage beside his brother.
"Good that you came now brother, I fear mother was going to drag you here with her hands" Lysander joked with a chuckle.

Sam stayed standing near his queen, not taking a seat. There were not many to take anyways.
-------
Julia couldnt help but widening her smile at his comment before watching him walk away. She let out a soft sigh before walking to where her parents stood. They greeted her and reintroduced her to a Lord and his lady. They claimed she had met them before, but that was a debatable fact in Julia's memory bank .
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
----
As the ceremony began. The king gave a wonderful speech before officially placing the crown on his head. Lysander made the ceremonial oath, to protect and rule the kingdom with fairness and love to his people. Then Lysander took his seat at the throne and silence occurred before joy filled the room.
Victor grinned as he witness the whole thing. His mother stood beside him and his father. Once everything was settled down, Victor hugged his brother. "My brother and my King. It will be an honor to protect and follow you" he told him.
Lysander smiled and hugged him back.
"Honored guest, on this joyous moment, I feel it is best to announce this" their mother spoke, every eye and ear were hanging and waiting for what news the queen will say.

Sam hoped his queen would tread careful with the words she spoke. If she allowed information to slip towards who she was, it could easily lead to their capture. The peasants of the home were part of Sam's concern, however Cassandra's safety was higher on his list.
---
The ceremony had been simply beautiful, an amazing start to a new era that Lysander was hoped to bring them into. Not that his father had been a bad king, but perhaps a fresh mind would bring fresh ideas. Julia had watched with a small smile on her lips as the crown was put into place, but her attention went to Victor as she found it usually did. Her smile grew just from seeing the grin on his face. He always wanted the best for his brother and believed in him. Victor was perhaps the perfect brother. Then the queen spoke and Julia moved her gaze to her. The thoughts of her questions to Victor came back into mind. So we this is when we learn our soon to be queen's name, Julia thought. She ran the names of the most elegant and willed women that may have crossed the mind of the current queen as to who may marry her first son. Julia settled for believing Catherine, the ideal woman and future leader. Julia was nearly certain that would be who.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
----
"Our new king deserves a beautiful new queen. And we are happy to announce that it has been settled. My son will be married to Princess Julia Richards." she said urging the girl forward as she held her son's hand.
Lysander was nervous. He hadn't even known that his parent's were already planning to marriage for him. He stepped forward as his mother had gestured him and was certainly surprised when she said Julia's name.
Victor wore a smile as he couldn't wait to hear who his mother had chosen. But the minute he realized it was Julia, his face fell and his heart felt like it was torn right out.

Abigail smiled to the boy who seemed so caring for his lady friend. A couple, that must be what they are...or he is her guard? But if he is protecting her, she is of importance...Abigail's smile faded a little as she thought it through. "It is sweet for you to wish to protect her," Abigail said, eyes on Sam before looking to Cassandra. "The two of you,are you related or together...or?"
-----
Julia was frozen in place, barely being forced forward from a gentle hand on her shoulder. There were voices of excitement and joy all around and eyes all on her it seemed. But she did not notice. How could she? Her world had just flipped upside down in full. This was something she would never have expected to happen. And something she never wanted. The full weight of a kingdom was a lot on her shoulders and she had never wished to be a queen. Then there was... Julia looked from Lysander, eyes still a bit wide, and focused on Victor. He looked to have the same reaction as her. Then, with another push to her shoulder, Julia snapped from the trance she was in, all sounds rushing in and her eyes blinking rapidly to regain herself. She forced a small smile on her face and allowed herself to be lead to the stage with the royal family. Should she voice her opinion of this now? About how it is not meant to be like this? That she does not fit this position?
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
----
Victor looked at Julia. She was smiling. His heart felt like it was going to be broken into pieces upon pieces. She was to be his brother's wife. She had known. She must have known. He glanced at his brother who had a careful smile on his face.
Lysander kept his facial features concealed. He only displayed on a smile for the people.
"It pleases me so and I believe you two are perfect for each other. In fact made for each other." His mother said taking his hand and Julia's hand and putting the, together.

"Oh, I see," Abigail said with a nod. The gears in her smart but childish mind turning."If only friends...you must not have lived in the same home...so, how was it the both of you lost your homes? Is some city under take over?"
----
The smile Julia wore was forced in full, only trying to please those around. Her hand felt odd in Lysander's, like it was not meant to be there. The words of the queen only stabbed at Julia more. "My Queen," Julia started slowly, looking at her hand in his as she said the first quiet words. Her smile had faded slightly as she looked up to Lysander then to the Queen. "I do not fully believe I am fit to oversee your position," she admitted, hoping this would be easy to get out of. "I adore your son, the both of them," she clarified, now glancing to Victor, seeing a pained expression that made her heart sink. "But a queen? I do not know if I am the best option..." All her words were quiet enough to keep the audience from hearing. The only ones to hear were the royal family closest.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
----
"Why of course you are. You are perfect to be queen. Don't you agree Victor." His mother said as she placed a hand on Julia's shoulder and glanced to her other son for support.
Victor looked up to his mother. He glanced between Julia and Lysander. He put a smile up. "She will be a lovely Queen, my brother is lucky to have her by his side." he said though every word he spoke pained him.
"To our future King and Queen then!" their father spoke cheerfully. And that made everything official.

----
Julia was not sure how to react to this now. Victor had just basically let her go. Had he ever even wanted her? Or was it always only her wanting him? It had taken a while for Julia to even admit it to herself that she had fallen for Victor. But she knew it to be true the moment she ran into him today and that natural smile came to her lips. But now...it did not matter. She looked at Victor with pained eyes as he spoke, only tearing her gaze away when the king finalized everything. "Is this what you want?" she ask quietly to Lysander. Even
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
----
"I know this is rushed to you as it is to me. But I promise to care and in time grow to love you. If you will allow me that is of course" Lysander said looking into her eyes. He knew that if given the chance he could fall for her. And he knew she would be good for the kingdom.
Victor looked away as his brother spoke. Everyone was is joy except for him. His heart was shattered. He faded into the background knowing no one would miss him. After all, it was his brother they were here for. It was his brother that was the king. IT was his brother that took the woman he loved. His hands crushed into fist as he brushed the tree.

Sam trusted no one now, but he knew he needed sleep. He would have to trust these people. He would take the chance and hope for the best. He looked to his queen. "We should rest. We need to make a lot of ground to try and reach Campton City within a day."
------
Julia listened to Lysander, eyes only glancing away to try and find Victor's for a moment. But he was not there. He had left her there...he had walked away from her, not caring one bit that she was being given to his brother. Had she always meant so little to Victor? She had thought he...he loved her like she did him. If he had, he would have spoken up, told everyone. But he didnt! "A king does not need to be allowed. Love me as you wish and I shall try and do the same."
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
----
Lysander looked at her, a wide grin emerge on his face. He leaned down and kissed her cheek. "I will make you happy" he whispered to her. Everyone seemed to cheer in joy of the moment.
"Let us all enjoy the rest of the celebration!" His mother said proudly. She knew those two would be a perfect match.

Sam had rolled his eyes to Cassandra, but nodded to her in agreement. He stuck with sleeping on the small hay piles in the room they were in, though, not wanting to intrude or be that close to strangers.
----
The night seemed to be endless, the buzz not faltering for a second. Happiness was endless, but why was it that Julia had none of this joy. The music was playing, couples smiled and swirled on the dance floor. Her thoughts went to how she had promised a dance for this night, but she had still not seen a sign of Victor nor danced.
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
-----
Lysander touched Julia's shoulder softly. "Would you care to have this dance with me?" He asked her. He looked into her eyes. He had watched her all evening. Noticed that she wasn't truly happy and he promised himself that he would make her happy.
Victor wrote a letter to mother and father late that night. They were still at the ceremony. He had something's gathered and ready to go. He walked, at the edge of the shadows as he looked at the love of his life and his own brother dancing. They didnt care that they had killed heart without knowing it and left him without one. He no longer wished to stay here and watch them. He left the castle that night with darkness surrounding him.

Sam woke up to the sound of footsteps, his eyes darting to find the source and his hand tightened on the hilt of his sword out of habit as he sat up. He saw Abigail come in, a tiny smile on her face. "Sorry to wake you," she said quietly.
"It's fine...we need to be heading out soon," he replied, standing and stretching. His gaze traveled to his queen.
-------
Julia took a moment longer than she should have. She had looked to Lysander as he asked to have a dance with her, but she glanced around the room before answering. What little smile she had been forcing herself to wear had faded as she looked around. But she pulled it back into place as best as she could. "I would love a dance," she said, taking his hand and following him to the dance floor. She would need to accept this. She was engaged now... It was not the worst thing to happen. She knew Lysander through her entire life, she knew he was a good man. He would be good to her. But still, it was hard to accept such a drastic change in her life plan.

[i thought it was time we introduce the other characters]
-----------
[hmmmmm should we fast forward a year to a new victor and with Lysander and Julia growing closer?]

Sam looked to where he had last seen Cassandra, her no longer there. Before he began to fully panic, he went and check the home in a hurry. But when he did not find her, he began to be pushed over the fine line between ration and irrational. "Where is she?!" he demanded Abigail to tell him, suspecting her of doing something with his queen. The rage on his face was enough to make Abigail step back a few paces and fear him a good bit.
"How am I to know? I just woke up," she defended a best she could. He did not have time for this. He closed the distance and grabbed her shoulders tightly, glaring into her eyes.
"Where is she?" he asked more sternly and through clinched teeth.
"I tell you, I have no idea." Sam released her from his grip when he realized this was a waste of time. Abigail was telling the truth. He could hear it in her voice and see it in her frightened eyes. He went from the home in a hurry and began to search. Abigail, though scared of Samuel now, felt the urge to follow. And she did, staying a distance behind so he would not notice.

[alright :-) just start off with somethin and I shall reply to it :)]
![[ resident reaper ] (resident_badass)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1725131308p1/6346630.jpg)
-------------------
Victor rode in on his horse. He returned to the kingdom and its people to whom he now loathed. Once he got off his horse, he walked into the castle. Many servants greeted him as they should. He spotted his mother sitting in the garden.
"Oh my dear son, it had been too long. I've missed you dearly." she said hugging her son.
Victor did not hug back just simply kissed her cheek. "How sweet of you to say" he said plainly. He had turned cold and heartless. No longer the foolish man he was before.

Julia made her way towards the room she had been told Lysander was. She had not seen him today and wished to. She heard voices to her right in the entrance to the garden. Being curious, she glanced that way. Her heart both sank and flamed. She clenched her teeth and did not bother to restrain her voice's volume. "Victor?!" she called to confirm as she started to make her angry walk over to him. Since he had vanished with only a note left behind, Julia had began to clinch to enragement towards him. How had he been able to abandon his family like that?! His kingdom?! Her...

Cassandra was able to stab the man but that however didn't stop him from bring her down. She fought against him but his weight crushed her.
"I'll make you pay for that wench" he growled.

"Brother! Thank the heaven you've return!" Lysander said rushing to hug his dear brother. He had missed him and hadn't know or heard of his travels.
"oh ...brother..." Victor said as he was engulfed by Lysander. He simply faked a smile. He saw his named being called by a very familiar voice. He gritted his teeth as he saw Julia. "It seems you've all are here. " he said flatly not bothering to look at Julia any further.
"Why of course my son, we have had longed to see you." his mother said.

Abigail followed still close behind Samuel as he basically ran to the edge of the city and to the hill that overlooked the field before the Asterdon forest. She was quick on her feet but slow compared to this guy it seemed.

Julia saw Lysander and wondered if he had gotten word of his brother's return and if that was why he left the room she was told he had been in. Julia did not think much of Lysander's reasoning for having come to he garden. In fact, it was the last thing on her mind. The knew her actions that were soon to come would possibly be looked down on. However, being a queen had the perks of being capable of doing as she pleased. Though she would have done something like this long before any crown was place on her head. "Excuse me for this," she said politely to Lysander and his mother when she got close enough. Victor had not even looked her way, so she forced him to. Her left hand clasped this his chin to turn him to look her way while her right open handedly smacked his cheek, the sound cracking through the garden. The others may be excited the long lost prince had returned, but Julia still clung to the fact he had abandoned them in the first place.

Victor watched as Julia pulled his attention. She was still has beautiful as ever, mesmerizing in fact. Then he watched her swing hand and slap him in the cheek. He, of course, could have blocked it but allowed her it. He just smiled at her.
"Good heaven, Julia. Why on earth would you do such a thing to the prince?" his mother said absolutely shocked.
"It's quiet alright mother. I understand how you women tend to get emotional for no reason." Victor said with a smile aimed at Julia.
Lysander was taken back by his wife's action then he smiled at his brother's words. "Yes, I'm sure that is it. Of course, my wife favors more enough not to hit so hard" he laughed.
"Ah" Victor said concealing his slightly anger when he mentioned 'his wife'. "come brother, I have many gifts from my journey" he said walking out with his brother.

He only smiled. He smiled and made fun of a woman's emotions. That was it?! Julia nearly wished to abuse him further. Of course she had expected her mother in law to react as she did. None of them viewed his disappearance as she did nor did they take it as hard. She sucked in a breath and watch for a moment as the brothers began to walk away. "Why was it you left?" she asked, voice still harsh and plenty loud enough for him to hear.
The flame that cooked the meat that was posted above it along a stick danced it's dance of freedom and power. Abigail was entranced in the fire, sitting on a small crate next to the controlled blaze. She smiled to herself as she glanced over around. No one seemed to be focused on her and the fire was begging to not be contained. She could see it when she looked back to it. Not yet, though. No. Not just yet.

Julia turned when she heard her name. She wore a confused expression at first as she looked the man over that asked if it were she. "Yes, 'tis indeed," she confirmed, still looking the man over. He was familiar to say the least, but she couldn't place it right then. But, she deducted it: his clothing, the fact he knew her, the age he probably was...could it really be one of the princes? He hair was darker, so it would be more likely this was Victor. When she crossed her memory of the boy she knew as Victor with the man in front of her, she smiled widely. "Victor?" she asked, but had already assumed she was correct, though wouldn't be shocked if she were wrong.
