The excerpt and cover reveal were on the UK Meet flash drive--along with sample pages from the coloring book. :-) But I think that's the only place the book was previously mentioned.

As for scary movies, that sounds like a great list. I've only seen some of them so I've got a lot to look forward to when I get a chance! I have to say, The Ring was the scariest movie for me. I was fine watching it in the theater, but as soon as the credits started rolling, I burst into tears and cried the twenty minutes back home. None of my friends knew what to do with me, though I didn't know what to do either as that had never happened before. So strange.
I saw The Ring 2 in my apartment alone in broad daylight and I talked smack to the screen the entire time so I wouldn't scare myself. Lol.
For tonight, I borrowed several movies from the library. I'm having a few friends over for a quiet Halloween in my new place that says I'll get kids at my door if I put the pumpkin picture from the monthly newsletter on my door. Should be fun. But yeah, I picked classic 1930's movies like Frankenstein and Dracula to more modern movies like I, Frankenstein, Frankenweenie, and Gods and Monsters with Ian McKellen.

I loved what Derrick had to say about the erotic scenes:"In real life, erotic moments are not just about eroticism – they are major turning points in our relationships, they require vulnerability and trust and can be incredibly revelatory."
That's what I like about Josh's books and what I think sets them apart from others in this genre. The sex scenes aren't just about sex. They're not gratuitous and are never thrown in just for the sake of having a sex scene.

I'm ridiculously relieved to read this. I was imagining things that I won't even go into, except to say that it was sad to have such doubts about our wider community. I feel properly chastised. ; )

I admit the same thought crossed my mind and I had the same reaction to the thought which I then I mainly rejected because it didn't fit with how I see the people in charge of QRM. I'm very glad it was a case of wrong zig'ing :)

I'm glad we get to read it, even if we have to wait a year. I loved Josh's QRM post from last year.
