Has anyone heard from jingles? Or contacted her? I could have swore I got a "request to join" from her the other day, but I sure can't find it now.

Hina (hinaj) So far no, but JoLene contacted everyone that was leftover and I emailed JoLene asking if she heard anything. I will let you know.

Barbara ★ Has anyone seen the post for the Tower Teams Read-a-Thon. It's here. Is anyone interested in participating. I will be reading anyway so I can do the RaT but mini-challenges (especially the non-reading kind) don't interest me at all. Thoughts?

Hina (hinaj) I can probably do a Read-a-Thon but don't think I will have time to do the mini challenges...there is just too much going on.

Barbara ★ Exactly. This is a points type thing which I tend to hate. It seems like a lot of work for the captains. Any interest in doing it? I can take it or leave it.

Let me think on it, between co-captaining this, hosting two other challenges, and all the other challenges I am in, school and work, I tend to over extend myself. I gotta see how much I read during the time, I usually finish a book a day, but I don't know how much it is page wise. I have asked on the other board if anyone else is interested in participating.

Nope. I got it, jingles. It is posted on the Google Spreadsheet Sign-up Sheet, where I put everyone's bookshelf hyperlinks. Thanks for double-checking! ☺

I've really thought about this read a thon, and I'm just not sure how well I would do.

I tried a mini challenge in round one, and was just not able to keep up with it, mostly because I've joined so many other challenges, and keeping up with them seems to be taking up alot of my time.

I would be happy to give it a try as long as everyone knows my limitations going in. Lol.

no problem, set your goal as what you can get done...I think the minimum was 600 pages and I think for people having a smaller reading goal is like three hundred some pages. Check out our other chats, the mods posted more things to be clear on that particular subject.

JoLene (trvl2mtns) There is no pressure to participate in the Readathon.......it's only met to be fun! I think if we have the theme being very generic, like one of the genres, then it shouldn't be too bad ---- since we should all be reading anyway :-)
