Riddle Me This

Riddle Me This
There is an ancient invention,
Still used in some parts of the world today,
That allows people to see through walls.

Riddle Me This
Metal or bone I may be,
Many teeth I have and always bared,
Yet my bite harms no one,
For ladies delight at my touch.

Riddle Me This
Every dawn begins with me.
At dusk I’ll be the first you see,
And daybreak couldn’t come without.
What midday centres are all about.
Daises grow from me, I am told,
And when I come, I end all cold,
But in the sun I won’t be found,
Yet still each day I’ll be around.

Riddle Me This
You hear it sing,
For it has a hard tongue.
But it cannot breathe,
For it has no lung.

Riddle Me This
I cut through evil like a double edged sword,
And chaos flees at my approach.
Balance I single-handedly upraise,
Through battles fought with my heart and mind,
Instead of my gaze.
First Letter: J

Riddle Me This
He has 1
And a person has 2,
A citizen has 3
and a human being has 4,
A personality has 5
And an 'inhabitant of earth' has 6.

Riddle Me This
You hear it sing,
For it has a hard tongue.
But it cannot breathe,
For it has no lung.

Riddle Me This
If you break me
I don't stop working,
If you touch me
I may be snared,
If you lose me
Nothing will matter

36)
Riddle Me This
Often held but never touched,
Always wet but never rusts,
Often bites but seldom bit,
To use well you must have wit!
Riddle Me This
He stands beside the road,
In a purple cap,
And a tattered green cloak.
Those who touch him, curse him.
38)
Riddle Me This
Power enough
To smash ships
And crush roofs.
Yet it still must fear the sun.
39)
Riddle Me This
What is it that makes tears without sorrow
And takes its journey to heaven?
Riddle Me This
This things runs but does not walk,
Sometimes sings but never talks.
Lacks arms, has hands;
Lacks a head but has a face.

The answer to 37 is thistle which is extremely difficult to get so that was kind of unfair of me!

A tiny bead like fragile glass,
Strung along a cord of grass,

Riddle Me This:
Each morning I appear
To lie at your feet,
All day I follow
No matter how fast you run,
Yet I nearly perish
In midday sun.
45)
Riddle Me This:
What is it which builds things up?
Lays mountains low?
Dries up lakes,
And makes things grow?
Cares not a whim about your passing?
And is like few other things,
Because it is everlasting.
Riddle Me This
Remove the outside.
Cook the inside.
Eat the outside.
Throw away the inside.
