ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments Indeed, it is! I love the Internet! It's where most of my friends (and now my family, lol) live, since I no longer live near my non-internet friends (I don't want to say "real life friends" because, to me, all the friends I make on the Internet ARE real life) and most of my family. I don't know what I'd do without the Internet. Be forced to use the phone more? *shudder*

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Yeah, I'm not a big phone user, either. I do have a cell phone for emergencies, but have to keep referring to what the number is when someone asks.

AT&T came in a revamped everything in November and now when someone calls me, my phone talks to me and tells me who is calling. I don't have to wait for the answering machine to pick up and screen my calls. It is great.

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments I refuse to answer the phone unless I know without a doubt that it is a family member. It's a little strange, I guess, but I get anxious when the phone rings.
I'd rather do everything over the net.

✿Claire✿ (clairelm) | 1222 comments I refuse to answer to 0800 numbers or private numbers but I do tend to answer 0191 (the local area code) numbers as the control room I work for seem to have at least 3 that they use!

I do the same thing, Amanda. I find most phone ringtones really jarring, and they always startle me. I think I've been programmed to respond to them with anxiety as a result.

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments The ringtone on my phone is not too bad.
It's just that in the past, my husband had to stay in Mexico for almost three years while we were doing paperwork for his residency. I had to move back in with my parents so I could afford the lawyer fees and my extended family would call all of the time with questions. "What's going on?" "What is she going to do?" "What? What? What?" After a while I would cringe inside every time the phone rang. I always found an opportunity to be elsewhere.

Even though that's all over, I still get anxious when the phone rings. lol

As of today, we are NOT planning on changing the goal of 1,350 or the goal date of April 11, 2014. However, we are making some adjustments and additions to try and get all the Teams up to 1,350.

Yes, it does look like one of the Teams will reach the goal before Thanksgiving - or near the end of November.
