Weather: What's the Weather Like in Your Corner of the World?
Here in Clacton the weather has turned cold, it was 4% centigrade yesterday morning and had to turn the heating on last night.Last night or early this mornng the rain was torrential.
Our daytime weather in Peoria is more like July than October. According to the forecast the high's going to be 81 degrees.
It is pouring rain in London--for a change--grey, miserable, slate skies, but I'm into Eric Ambler "The Mask of Dimitrios_. Hadn't read him for years, he's great--characters, language, feeling for place...frustrating to be trying to write the same genre...
Getting chilly here in New England ....foliage is beautiful ,but soon it will be only a memory....sigh

It was cool and breezy here today. Low 70s.
It rained this morning as I was walking to my first class, so I got a good soaking! Now the rain has stop, but it is not expected to get very warm the rest of day or week for that matter. We haven't had much snow yet here in Colorado, expect for some in the mountains, but still I think winter is on the way here.
Lucy wrote: "Rain :@ I hate rain."I say this as someone who lives in Los Angeles who doesn't get a lot of rain so I LOVE it--how can you hate rain?
Huda wrote: "Somebody stole my yellow raincoat yesterday. What kind of person would do that????"Boo to them! My sister has one and loves it. I can't bring myself to wear something so bright, it makes me feel like a traffic cone.

The real reason why I bought the yellow raincoat was because I figured no one will want to steal it.
So now, I bought myself a pink plastic one.
If all else fail, I will have to find myself a polkadot raincoat.
Been an odd week. Sunday was sunny but cold. Monday and Tuesday wet and cold, Wednesday, Thursday and friday clear skies but very cold. Frost at night. Winter is finally here.
Wednesday was freezing here in the Northeast, but yesterday and today it warmed up to the high 40's, I hate the cold!
Malina wrote: "Wednesday was freezing here in the Northeast, but yesterday and today it warmed up to the high 40's, I hate the cold!"I don't mind the cold, but it is a novelty for me. I imagine if I lived someplace where it truly got cold I wouldn't like it very much. It gets in the 60's here and people break break out their long coats and scarves.
We had our first big dump of snow yesterday. A bit late actually for Edmonton. Now I can sit on my butt and read and not feel any guilt over unfinished yard work.
It's calm now but yesterday morning we had quite a storm. The nearby town of Washington was hit by a tornado.
They are calling for snow sometime this evening for Colorado. For all of you recently affected by tornado my thought and prays go out to you. I hope that you are all safe and sound.
Janessa wrote: "They are calling for snow sometime this evening for Colorado. For all of you recently affected by tornado my thought and prays go out to you. Bad weather in various places across the country. I am sending positive thoughts your way.Gray, overcast,a nd in the 60s here in LA today. Just the way I like it.
Beautiful fall day in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. The sky is blue, the sun is out, the air is crisp and cold. And, the leaves are still with us and have turned almost completely brown. With occasional visible streaks of red. But, mostly they are all turned and down. However, our predominate color of the landscape is green. We're all wondering how much longer the more normal gray skies and rainy weather will hold off. Predictions are for after Thanksgiving. [sigh]
Oh, well, am enjoying the sunshine now!
Laurel wrote: "1 degree Celsius, and raining near Toronto, Ontario, Canada. expecting snow tomorrow."During the day!!!? That is cold! It was in the 70s here today. WE might get some rain on Thanksgiving.
Ron wrote: "Presently, at 10:30 pm, 26 degrees in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. Very cold, for here."YIKES!!! IT is always funny when it gets really cold here in LA because you will see people in shorts and Uggs. Always funny.
We got a first good dumping of snow here in Colorado on Wedseday. At it has been cold ever since! Hope everyone is stay warm and safe during this crazy wealthier we are having right now.
