Leigh | 6291 comments It is rather cold here in LA, in the 60s here today. I have to figure out how to turn on my heater tonight. To those who live where it actually gets cold I feel your scorn and I accept it.
:-)

James (birchoverjames) Here in Clacton the weather has turned cold, it was 4% centigrade yesterday morning and had to turn the heating on last night.
Last night or early this mornng the rain was torrential.

Olivia "So many books--so little time."" | 678 comments Our daytime weather in Peoria is more like July than October. According to the forecast the high's going to be 81 degrees.

message 162: by [deleted user] (new)

It rained this morning as I was walking to my first class, so I got a good soaking! Now the rain has stop, but it is not expected to get very warm the rest of day or week for that matter. We haven't had much snow yet here in Colorado, expect for some in the mountains, but still I think winter is on the way here.

Leigh | 6291 comments Huda wrote: "Somebody stole my yellow raincoat yesterday. What kind of person would do that????"

Boo to them! My sister has one and loves it. I can't bring myself to wear something so bright, it makes me feel like a traffic cone.

The real reason why I bought the yellow raincoat was because I figured no one will want to steal it.

So now, I bought myself a pink plastic one.

If all else fail, I will have to find myself a polkadot raincoat.

message 171: by James (new)

James (birchoverjames) Been an odd week. Sunday was sunny but cold. Monday and Tuesday wet and cold, Wednesday, Thursday and friday clear skies but very cold. Frost at night. Winter is finally here.

message 172: by Malina (new)

Malina | 1838 comments Wednesday was freezing here in the Northeast, but yesterday and today it warmed up to the high 40's, I hate the cold!

Leigh | 6291 comments Malina wrote: "Wednesday was freezing here in the Northeast, but yesterday and today it warmed up to the high 40's, I hate the cold!"

I don't mind the cold, but it is a novelty for me. I imagine if I lived someplace where it truly got cold I wouldn't like it very much. It gets in the 60's here and people break break out their long coats and scarves.

Kay Faupel | 1028 comments Indian summer in Texas:sunny and 81F.

message 175: by Taylor (new)

Taylor We had our first big dump of snow yesterday. A bit late actually for Edmonton. Now I can sit on my butt and read and not feel any guilt over unfinished yard work.

message 190: by Ron (new)

Ron (ronb626) | 3884 comments Beautiful fall day in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. The sky is blue, the sun is out, the air is crisp and cold. And, the leaves are still with us and have turned almost completely brown. With occasional visible streaks of red. But, mostly they are all turned and down. However, our predominate color of the landscape is green.

We're all wondering how much longer the more normal gray skies and rainy weather will hold off. Predictions are for after Thanksgiving. [sigh]

Oh, well, am enjoying the sunshine now!
