Yeah, me too, but it makes the danger of fire so much higher when it's this dry. I live in California near the central coast.

It is beautiful. I live on a ranch in the middle of nowhere between Carmel Valley Village and Arroyo Seco. It gets hot (112+) in the summer and it gets cold in the winter, sometimes it snows.
I have seen pictures of Carmel Valley and my Mum has been there. Now I know you live in a beautiful area.
Hampshire England is a little cooler today and we have had heavy rain which will help my runner beans.
Today was hot and humid. And blazingly hot, hey gang this is Hawaii. Not all surfboards and suntans.
Currently raining here in Penang, Malaysia. Fortunately it's weekend, a nice excuse to stay indoor, be an antisocial, and read a good book.
Left Phoenix Az on Fri with temp at 116. Now in Alpine, Az and woke up to 52 degrees. Too bad I have to go back to Phoenix today!
Heavenly....perfect....cool, delightful....and not expecting it to last...when I can open windows and doors and keep that AC off, I love it...NY is the best....right now....keep away humidity!
It's a day in south Florida which reminds me of Ireland; soft, gray, a little rain. Makes me wish I was there. Dogs love it--long walks without the blazing sun.
It's warm and sunny here in Hampshire, England but the Weathermen have forcast a drop in temps by the weekend and maybe rain.
hot humidwe've been getting a lot of rain in south Florida
but you can tell fall is coming. No Canadian plates in the parking lots.

They're called Snowbirds?

Love your comment about the lack of Canadian plates! Many of our friends start the exodus to Florida in Oct. My hubby and I are coming to F! In early Dec., to celebrate our 40th Aniversary, which was actually Aug. 25th. Starting out in Williamsburg, then on to Fort
Lauderdale, then a week at Disneyworld, sinc we haven't been there for Christmas decorations. Leave for home-Canada-Dec. 22. Can't wait!

Nice trip you have planned. Love Williamsburg. I hope it dries out and cools off so you can enjoy Micky! Happy anniversary!

Thank Michael. We have an exciting fall & early winter. Our 3rd granddaughter is due Nov. 15, the first child for our oldest son and his wife-then our trip begins in early Dec., then home just in time for Christmas!
We still have lots of time to chat before then. But I really appreciate your kind wishes. W haven't had a real holiday since 2007- we had 2 weddings to help with, and 2 granddaughters, both born when holidays were available. So, this is one to really look forward to.
As most of you know here in Colorado we have been hit with several flooding. Lucky I am not near any of the areas that were badly hit. But it did rain for three days straight at my house. Now how ever things seem to be looking up and the sun is shining again!

In New York the weather is partly cloudy and it rain a little earlier today but now the clouds are leaving but still cool out.

The temps here in LA bounced back up, as they often do this time of year, so it is rather hot again.
it's terribly hot during the day. you can actually feel yourself burn. then it's very very cold at night
Here in Essex it seems Autumn as arrived. Office actually has heating, turned on for the first time on Monday. But we are promised a mini heatwave this weekend.
Had to drive to work today as I have a late night meeting. The fog was bad and traffic very slow, stop start, but you still had idiots driving as if it was a clear day.
Autumn/Fall is here in Los Angegles. It is warm and there are fires nearby. That is pretty standard for this time of year.
In Oregon, it's been raining. Last weekend, the remnants of a typhoon that struck Japan, crossed the Pacific and hit the Oregon Coast. Was at a UO football game and got drenched. No sweat, though, as the team won. Monsoon like conditions Saturday night. Still raining ever since. Although, today, we're getting scattered sun breaks. Looks like it'll go back to rainy tonight. Sometimes, during the rainy season, we get really nice days that turn back to rain in the evening.
All part of living in Oregon. All that rain keeps us green year-round. Lived several other places, and I'll take the rain if we can avoid those really hot, humid days of summer and the really cold days of winter. Temperate climate, here. But, it does rain a lot.
Here in New England, leaves are changing colors, everything looks beautiful, we have some nice weather for next few days, mid 70's low 80's, last glimpse of summer like temps
Malina wrote: "Here in New England, leaves are changing colors, everything looks beautiful, we have some nice weather for next few days, mid 70's low 80's, last glimpse of summer like temps"Same is true here in Southern Ontario. We could actually use some rain. My garden is extremely dry.
Here in Essex it looks like autumn has finally arrived. The false promise of an Indian summer over the weekend and beginning of the week had gone. This morning on the train in to work the rain was quite heavy, with the promise of more to come.
Beautiful, sunny, cloudless day, 20 degrees centigrade, just right for a 3hr. Cruise among Georgian Bay's 30,000 Islands-gorgeous fall colours! A 3hr. Drive north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Perfect day!
Still warm here in Los Angeles, it really doesn't cool down until late October. We had a mist of rain a few days ago, but we have had very little rain this year, less that five inches I do believe.
Close to 90 degrees here in Lincoln, NE today and down to 38 degrees by Sunday morning. Bring on the cool weather, my favorite time of the year
