Very strange this year (Belgium): some days we go to 30°C and a few days later fall to 13°C.. We do get rain, but not a lot (I don't complain but farmers do).... Last year we had lots of rain and little summer, now we have something resembling summer since a few weeks. Hopefully it will keep up the good work till July and August (normally the summer months eventhough we had years autumn already started in July)
We're definitely having summer now in north central Texas - temps in the 90s and probably near 100 this weekend, and no rain. This will basically be how things are until October.
Weather in Switzerland is lovely. A bit of rain last night, but sunny and perfectly comfortable today.

also in Switzerland at the moment and the weather very nice, can't enjoy it as much as I would like to due to high grass pollen count! sniff sniff ....
Kelly wrote: "I visited Switzerland years ago and loved every minute. Summer has not arriv..."Hasn't arrived in the Oregon Willamette Valley, either. But, then, it has been widely believed that summer here doesn't start until after the 4th of July. Well, except for last year when we had already had many consecutive days of F 90+ temperatures.
The NW has had spectacular summers for the past two years. Dare we hope for another? Summer has been just teasing once in a while so far. Gee, that's a horrible sentence, but I'm too tired to change it.
I think I need to move to the NW. The weather sounds like it suits me. But is there snow in Oregon and Washington in the winter?

Mountains? Most assuredly. Coastal region? Not so much. In fact, most years, no. Does happen but, at least in the Oregon Willamette Valley, not all that much.

If you get outside of this area, there's lots of snow in the mountains and in Eastern Washington. It is a gorgeous state!
We got a break yesterday - it rained! It was one of those unpredictable summer storms that just pop up out of nowhere. We got almost two inches of rain in less than four hours. It's still very humid and in the high 90s. Not a great combination.
Northern California is still in a hot spell. Looking forward to temps dropping back into the double digits next week!
Oregon Willamette Valley is experiencing one of those summers where we wish it would stay like this all year round. Hot/warm in the day and cooling off at night. We don't always get this weather but we sure appreciate it when we do. Of course, with August just ahead, warmer weather is just ahead of us. Not southern hot, not even midwest humidity, but, for us, hot.
It is hot, hot, hot in Southern California but fortunately, today it wasn't as humid (at least to me) today.
It is the usual horrible hot that we get in Cincinnati in July and August the dew point is so high that when you walk out your front door the weather smacks you in your face!
In Aberdeen (north east Scotland) it's currently dull and windy with a mild threat of rain, with which the seagulls are in agreement. But it's mild, for us, at about 12C, and it's been a hot week, up to 23C. That's more than enough for me!

I'd imagine that the weather in the rain forests is similar to what we're having here now. Looking forward to fall.
Oh, walk out the door and your clothes melt against your skin. Fall, please, or anything under 80 degrees.
We have had rain for the last 5 days, today it is overcast, temp 9 celsius ... where has the Summer gone ???
It's been continuously raining in my city Chittagong since last 2/3 days. Temperature 27°C. Perfect weather for reading book.
Sifat wrote: "It's been continuously raining in my city Chittagong since last 2/3 days. Temperature 27°C. Perfect weather for reading book."I lived not far from Chittagong many years ago and remember the heavy downpours that sometimes lasted for days ! enjoy the reading weather !
The air is finally starting to become more smoke-free here in the Oregon Willamette Valley. Only thing good about the smoke was that in filtering the sunshine, it kept the temperatures from reaching 100+ marks. But, in southern parts of the state and into northern California, it was not healthy to breathe it. Not quite that way where I live, but, it sure has been hazy for a bit of a while. One of the downsides to living near the Northwest forests. While it is green year-round, in the summer, when it gets dry, fire danger is high. And, to top it off, some kids threw a smoke bomb off a cliff and started the big fire near Portland. They caught one of the kids and he doesn't seem to care that he caused damage to not only the forest, but, the surrounding area. As far as I can tell, no homes have been lost by people. Lots of forest creatures losing theirs, though.

But, last year, we were in the middle of 90 straight days of 90+ temperatures. Real hot for here in June. Nobody complaining about the heat, this year. At least, not yet.
