Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 36 comments Hi, I tried to add this in the monochrome version as well as the colour edition, but something went wrong and the monochrome edition went in twice. I have removed the cover photo for the erroneous entry, but don't know what else to do. Am I able to delete it? Most of my books are available as paperbacks, hardbacks, and iBooks, (this one is also available with and without colour photographs, but I thought adding all varieties would be too much) Sorry I am getting in a muddle here. I don't have much technical ability.

Caro | 177 comments Are the covers the same for the monochrome and the colour edition? There is now only one book for the mono and one for the colour.

Caro | 177 comments Let me know if this is all right or if there are more changes that need to be made.

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 36 comments They are slightly different. the full colour one has "full colour" version on the cover (further down the front of the cover) and the monochrome one has "monochrome edition" on it. Strangely, when I went back to check it, the reviews I wrote had merged and the monochrome versions have disappeared. It may be that because I only just added them they don't show yet. I can certainly add the cover in once it is there, but the publication date differs. It is 4/10/12 for the monochrome version. Thank you.

Caro | 177 comments I went ahead and changed the date and added the cover for the mono. How many monochromes were there. One hardcover and one paperback? If your reviews that you have are separate and for different editions you can go to your review and change the edition it's for by clicking on the 'switch edition' link. Then you can select the edition you want to review to be on.

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 36 comments Thanks so much. I'll change the cover pic once it's up. Should I also add the hardback copies to my other two books? Or is it best just to leave them as they are. The other two (not this one) are also available as iBooks but not ebooks, and I don't think you show those on here. Is it better just to write on the description that they are also available in other format?

message 7: by Caro (new)

Caro | 177 comments Do they all have any/different isbn's? You can add the different editions (or I can) if you want to, but since I haven't seen any isbn (i don't have a copy and haven't found them), I don't think you should worry about the iBooks edition. It's always best to have an isbn, that helps those who read it and want to make sure they get the right edition.

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 36 comments No there are no isbns and no asins. I am self published and couldn't afford them. I spoke to the issuing office and they said they didn't think it would be worth it until I had sold a lot more than I have. It might be better if you added them. I seem to be making a bit of a pig's ear out of things. You can only buy them from Blurb, Apple iBooks or my own website (and I only stock the black and white ones, but my website links to the other two sites.

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 36 comments I went to add the cover photo to the monochrome one as when it appears in the side bar it looks blank, but when I click on it it shows up as having a cover pic. Sorry to be a pain. I actually want to do a giveaway on this one, but can't add it as it has no asin. I sent a contact form submission about that last week. Was that the right thing to do or should start a new thread about that? Sorry to be a pain, this is all very new to me. I'm loving this site though.

Caro | 177 comments No problems, we're here to help. Let me research a little more and I'll get back to you.

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 36 comments Thank you. Just to make it clear as I've been so muddled
Summary
"Jumping in the Puddles of Life" comes in hard and paperback for both editions, colour and paperback, as do "Hopes, Dreams & Medals"and "Fire and Ice"

It is the black and white edition of Jumping in the Puddles of Life which I want to do as a giveaway.

Thanks so much, your help is greatly appreciated.

Caro | 177 comments OK, I can add the hard cover editions for Jumping, are the covers and dates still the same in hard as the paperback? I'll look at the others when I get done with Jumping. I like to try and keep my brain on one track at a time. :)

message 13: by Loretta (new) - added it

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 36 comments Yes, the covers are the same, each one with either full colour or monochrome on there. I would probably do better if my brain stayed on one thing at a time, lol!

message 14: by Caro (new)

Caro | 177 comments I have added the hardcover editions. I've found this info on the ISBN deal. (Which from what I gathered from you earlier, you'll need to be able to put your book on the giveaway)

http://blog.blurb.com/isbn-book/

You have to have an ISBN to sale your books anywhere except for Blurb. So just for the Jumping books, that's 5 isbn's (2 paper, 2 hard, and the iBook/ebook edition) More for the other books you have. Once you get an isbn you'll be able to list your book for the giveaway. I'm going to have a look-see at your other books now and see what (if any) there is to do. Let me know if you have more questions.

message 15: by Caro (new)

Caro | 177 comments Ok, I think I have all the edition of all your books (minus iBook editions) listed and up-to-date. If you could check them out and make sure the info in right that would be super. If there's anything else I could do for you and help with just give a shout. :) Hope I got everything righted away for you.

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 36 comments One problem left. I put the UK date 4/10 that's the 4th of October, not the 10th April for the monochrome edition. So that needs to be corrected. Tjat's the difference between the way we do dates in each country, eh? Thanks so much for all your sterling hard work. I appreciate it. So, to clarify, the date for the monochrome needs to be changed to 4th October. Thanks.

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 36 comments Yike, also the hard cover pic for Fire and Ice needs to be the same as the paperback cover. The cover you have on there is of the very first one, and is out of date. I have a few paperback books left of it, which I am clearing before I get any new ones, but no hardcovers. Blurb no longer has any of the original covers, they are on my website only. Sorry, you really drew the short straw when you got me.

message 18: by Caro (new)

Caro | 177 comments It's all good. I'll fix the date and the cover. It's better to get it done now than see it later. Ow man! I hate when that happens.

message 19: by Caro (new)

Caro | 177 comments Date....Check!
Cover....Check!!

Yay, all done. (I think) ;)

message 20: by Loretta (new) - added it

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 36 comments Yup, that's perfect. Thanks so much. I'll give you a break and ask about the giveaway on a different thread haha! Go have a cup of coffee and some chocolate, you've earned it. :)
