Have Tried Twice to Set up Author Account - Help!

Hello, I'm having trouble creating an author account. I have requested it twice. Goodreads has warned me each time that my first name doesn't match. I explained in my note that C. Austin Tucker is still my name, and Route 66 Ministries is my company. I've gotten no response. Someone suggested that I add my full name in the contributors section. I've tried that several times. It says my information has been saved and will take 10 minutes to show up in search results, but it never shows up, and it's now been a few days. Please help! I'm really trying to avoid creating a brand new Goodreads account.Thanks.

Requests will still go through, even if there's no match. Just be sure to explain in the comment box, and be sure you have submitted.

It generally takes 2-3 business days for author applications to be processed. If it has been that long already, you might try sending a message via the Contact Us link on the Help page. Librarians have no control over this process.

Also, the search results note has nothing to do with the process. Searching for your name seems to be working exactly as it ought.

Thanks. My full name is Cynthia Tucker, and that's the name I tried to add to the book. But it's not taking. I thought maybe Goodreads was going by the name on my Facebook account, since that's how I sign in. I thought changing my display name to C. Austin might help. I have no idea why this is so much trouble.

Does anyone know if Goodreads has a special way of handling names with initials/periods?

It is more likely to trigger the no-match message on the claim page, but if you complete the request, it will be processed just the same.

You need to claim your author profile using this link: http://www.goodreads.com/author/confi... , and then wait to be approved. I checked with the staffers who confirm these, and there is no current request pending from you.
