Nick Tran (nick00777) | 6 comments Hi everyone! I have a question. I just put my eBook (THE CARTESIAN MACHINE)on Amazon.com promotion for free download. How can I track my book's ranking during this FREE promotion period? Many Thanks!!!
Nick

Amy Queau | 68 comments After an hour or two, you can just go to the direct Amazon page - if it starts to show up in the Best Seller's Rank, it will be listed right there. Otherwise, you can also go to your authorcentral page (updated hourly) to see which rank you're at under RANK. It should break it down in which genre's you've listed it in.

Hope that helps! Good luck today!

Nick Tran (nick00777) | 6 comments Amy - I saw it just now in the Amazon Best Sellers Rank. I didn't see that an hour ago. That was very helpful! Thanks!!! Nick

So, go into your KDP.Amazon.com account and click on the book in your Bookshelf you want to promote. Once inside (where you can edit your book, pricing, etc.), there is a very small icon underneath where it says "This book is enrolled in KDP Select" that says Promotions Manager. Click on that and set your date! As easy as that.
Once you've done that, contact as many free kindle sites as you can find. I do the majority of mine through ereader and Pixel of Ink. I also try to correspond those days with reviews or author interviews. That way, other sites promote your freebee days. Most say that Sundays are best, but you get 5 over 90 days, so why not try a whole weekend? That's what I did and ended up #7 in Women's Fiction and #9 in Contemporary over Easter weekend. It was so awesome. :)
