Oh you're right! I forgot that the yellow cover books aren't the originals, ha ha! :-) Yes, I agree, I want to read the original first book, too. I hope it's even better :-D

Yep, it'd be fun to compare the two. :) I've only read the newer ones, but it's possible to find the originals in used bookstores around, in varying conditions (along with varying prices). Also there are the Applewood facsimile editions - some of them are still in print, but you might find a better price for used Applewood books or maybe even the originals! :)

Cool! :D I love figuring out the mystery in the books so I like the ones where the writers let Nancy sleuth a lot. :D
What's your favorite part in the book, Charmaine and Ashlee? :)
It's been such a while since I read this so I don't remember how the mystery got solved, and I can't say what part I liked. XD Once I read the original I will let you know what I think. One of the libraries I go to has some of the older editions. :-)
Which part did you like, Ann?

I look forward to finding out about the comparison between the two and what you think when you read them! That's great that you can maybe get them from one of your libraries! :) I need to read the original, too. :D
Hmmm, I think my favorite part is when she actually found "the secret in the old clock". ;) I always really like when she helps people and the sleuthing, so those all are my favorite parts. :D

I love the old-fashioned charm of the books too :-) are you reading the older editions or the more revised ones (the ones with the yellow covers)?

I've been reading the yellow covers, too :-) one day I'd like to compare that version of Secret of the Old Clock with an older edition! My library has some of the older ones :-)

I have just finished it the other day. It really is a good book and I enjoyed it. I like the plot... It's neatly written and strongly understandable. (Grammar, wording, paragraphs and quotations). Definitely worth suggesting this book to a friend!
