message 214: by Aiesha (new)

Aiesha (bigtexasaj) Finished #3 in the Will Trent series, Undone Undone (Will Trent #3) by Karin Slaughter and since, she left it with a cliffhanger (darn her!), I had to start #4, Broken Broken (Will Trent, #4) by Karin Slaughter . So far, so good but that is to be expected from Karin Slaughter!

message 215: by Sage (new)

Sage (sagehachey) The newest Kathy Reichs novel.

message 216: by Murrill (new)

Murrill | 11 comments New to the group! What took me so long to get here?

I just finished W is for Wasted in Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone series, and I am in withdrawal since the next book is not due until this Fall. Started reading this alphabet series years ago...lost touch...rediscovered my love of reading when I bought a Kindle last year. Now I can't stop! I suggest reading the series in order. I am also working my way through Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum and Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta series. Not sure what to read next....

message 217: by Linnea (new)

Linnea O'bannon | 1 comments Murrill, Hi.
You sound like you have tastes near mine. My suggestion would be to go to John Sanford, or to David Baldacci. There are so many wonderful authors--many that just seem to continue to produce so much special entertainment, year after year. Good luck.

Olivia "So many books--so little time."" | 5 comments Currently I'm reading Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. So far it's been good--the protagonist starts out believing it was her brother who murdered the rest of her family but then starts to have her doubts.

message 219: by Murrill (new)

Murrill | 11 comments Yes, I like Sanford & Baldacci, too. I've read all three of Gillian Flynn's novels, and she tells very good stories.
Just started Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes. Liking it so far.

What do you think of Scarpetta? That's one I want to dive into but have heard so many negative things about it... mainly the newer books.

Melissa Madrid | 8 comments Jayne Ann Krentz Between the Lines

message 222: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (finegael) | 11 comments Reading Notorious Nineteen (Stephanie Plum, #19) by Janet Evanovich . Realized that I somehow had missed this one and so far it's good.

I've like Patricia Cornwell since the beginning, but I have heard people say that Kay Scarpetta becomes unlikeable in later novels. If you're referring to the book titled "Scarpetta," it has been several years since I read it. I recall that I liked it.

hmmmmm. as with all series some are good and some well they are a struggle. I have read all of the books in the series and her other series starting with the "isle of dogs". some of her writing is pretty gruesome and I have to read something else for awhile but I always read her next book. sometimes I thing she's getting tired of kay scarpetta.

message 229: by Doneva (new)

Doneva Fellows | 9 comments sometimes finding a new author or character is very hard to do. I have found that by going to www.stopyourekillingme.com website and just picking a letter and reading about the characters listed that sometimes I find something new to read. it can be time consuming but worth it. goodreads is fun because you can interact with other readers and sometimes they have great suggestions for authors.

message 230: by Aiesha (new)

Aiesha (bigtexasaj) About 60% through Broken Broken (Will Trent, #4) by Karin Slaughter and it's great! I don't have a clue who could have done this so it'll be a shock! After that, I'm going to read The Silent Wife The Silent Wife by A.S.A. Harrison since I've seen so many good things about it here on Goodreads and it's got some slight comparisons to Gone Girl, which I loved.
