I started reading last night in bed. Why do I do that? I got sleepy and didn't get far. I do agree, Skolnick; I like the little nuggets of lore history Knaak gives in the opening chapter. It helps tie the universe together and gives the reader a quick orientation as to where the Apects stand.



I am making my way through part #1 and immediately appreciate Knaak's maturity with the WoW universe. This is not to say that the earlier novels on the Warcraft lacked vision or writing skill, but over the years WoW has established proven lore that allows for his solid writing approach. As always, he shines when it comes to dragons...
Being a player who has not pieced together *much* lore knowledge over the years, it was a helpful refresher for me to read the part #1 summary of exactly where the dragon aspects stand today... facts, history, the reasons certain game events happened, etc.
I look forward to learning more about the earliest days of Azeroth's dragons.
