((Sorry for the long wait. I had a lot of homework and a test to study for))Name: Corey
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Appearance: Corey is about 5'9". He has short brown hair and green eyes. He plays football, so he is pretty well muscled.
Personality: Corey defies the football player stereotype. He's not stupid, like most people think. He has an A/B honor roll. Though he does often put football first before school. He is a kind person, always willing to help others out. Like everyone, he has his flaws. He is very much here-in-the-present, and doesn't think a lot of what might happen. He thinks it's a waste of time to worry over what will come. He also can be very argumentative and doesn't back down from a fight, even when he should. But overall, he's a good person.
Likes: sports (especially football), mystery novels and tv shows, and chocolate
Dislikes: wishful thinking, chick-flicks, strawberries (he's allergic to them), and polo (he hates the sport almost as much as soccer)
((Oh, that's okay. :) What about Corey's friend? The one who kisses my charrie at the spin the bottle party? :P xxx Full name: Veronica Janelle Marie-Ella Garcia.
Nickname: Ronnie. Nica.
Age:17
Appearance: Naturally red curly long hair, has piercing electric blue eyes, five foot four. Short for her age. Has pink plump lips. Not skinny but not plump.
Hobbies/Sports: Photography, Reading, playing video games, Drawing.
Occupation(Optional): Works at Starbucks, because she isn't as rich as every other kid at her school.
Extra: Has two Best friend's. Carli and Shayla.
Name: Ben Hemingway Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: Ben is a lanky, tall teen. He is 6'0" tall. He has blue eyes and blond hair. His long legs make him really good at playing soccer.
Personality: Ben is Corey's best friend. He is quiet and doesn't talk much. Despite being Corey's friend, he hates football. He'll go to the games, but doesn't care for it. His passion is for soccer, which Corey hates. He likes to draw. He is pretty bad with math, but is good with history. He usually stays in the shadows, not wanting to be put in the spotlight. He'll join in conversations and whatnot, but only if he's forced to or if someone asks him a question. He's the awkward person that we all know.
Likes: Soccer, art, and saltwater taffy.
Dislikes: football, math, and crowds
Other: none
Ben was annoyed. He was in a coffee shop listening to Corey talk about the upcoming football season. He didn't care about football, but was a good enough friend that he pretended to listen. Secondly, he didn't know why they were in a coffee shop. It wasn't even Starbucks, just a little place at the mall. He was just waiting for the chance to butt in and suggest they go somewhere else. But Corey just kept on talking.
Veronica walked into Star-bucks wearing shorts, a crop top and hand-made bracelets, her best friend's, Carli and Shayla had made for her. She had made some for them too. She looked around the cafe, looking for her boyfriend, Corey. Yeah. She said boyfriend. Who wouldve thought, out of all the girls at Gilmore High, Corey Hampton (I'm making the surname up because there wasn't one on his form. :) xxx)) would be with HER! Veronica, the nerdy quiet girl. And the football qauter-back. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Corey, but also star soccer player. She smiled at Ben, and slowly walked over to the two attractive guys. She sat down next to Corey and kissed his lips lightly then giggled and pulled back. "H-Hey, guys." She said sweetly after pulling away.
((Sorry for the late reply. I was at school.))Ben had never been more glad to see Veronica than when she showed up. She was the only person that could make Corey shut up. "Hey," he said and smiled back at her.
Corey grinned as he saw Veronica. He paused mid-sentence just as he was talking about the team's plan to beat Oak Ridge, their biggest rival. The team planned to go all the way to state this year. "Well hello beautiful," he said to Veronica as she sat down. "How are you today?"
"Well if you two need me, I'll be Sports Central," Ben said, taking the chance to slip away before Corey started talking about football again. Or before they started making out. He did not need to see that.
Veronica giggled, and lay her head in the crook of his head then pulled back and pouted. "Oh, no. You don't have to go, Ben. I get if its time for you and him to bond. Bro time. You know? I was just coming to see Corey. I can leave, instead." She said, smiling sweetly. She didn't want it to seem like she was taking away his best friend and being a clingy girlfriend. She has to be careful. One bad thing, and there's a rumor spread around, and she's a bad girlfriend. It was hard being Mr. Popular's girlfriend. She couldn't be herself, really.
Ben paused. "If you insist," he said, sitting back down. Maybe he could get Corey to talk about something else other than football. Like the fact that their favorite band was coming to town. Or maybe he could start talking about soccer just to get Corey to see what if felt like to be annoyed when you talk endlessly about a sport the person across from you doesn't like."You don't have to-" Corey started to say, before he noticed Ben's slight glare. "We can meet some other time," he told her. Like later in the day, he thought.
Veronica nodded, giving him one last kiss then getting up. "Call me, later." She said sweetly, and stood up, grabbing Corey's coffee then chuckled as he didn't even protest. She was always stealing his stuff. They had a very playful relationship. It was like they were best friend's, yet they were attracted to each other. They play fought, played video games together, had silly blonde moments together. It was the most amazing relationship she's ever had. She just wish that, Corey would put her first once in a while. He always choose his cheerleader friends over her. Or his jock buddies. She sighed, walking out Star-bucks and walking home.
"I will," Corey said, smiling as she took his coffee. It wasn't worth trying to get it back. He turned back to Ben and opened his mouth to speak."Say one word about football, and I'll kill you," Ben said. Corey knew he was being serious.
"Whoever said I was going to talk about football?" He asked. "I was only going to discuss hockey."
"Sure you were," Ben said. "I think the Raiders are going to win this year." The Raiders were the local hockey team.
"Want to go to Sports Central and see if they have any new merchandise?" Corey asked. Collecting Raiders merchandise was something that not many people knew he did. It wasn't something he wanted spread around.
"Sure, why not," Ben said. They got up and walked to the sports store.
Janelle the head cheerleader, saw the two most hottest guys, walk into Sports Centeral, while she was looking for some hockey skirts. She smiled and walked over to them. She wore skinny jeans, a tight top, that had cleavage, and a cardigan with the sleeves rolled up, her lusicious golden blonde hair flowing down her back. "Hey, Corey. Ben." She gave them such a sweet smile, she probably cause a tooth-ache. "What are you guys up to?" She asked, biting down on her lip, looking at Ben, like she was having sex with him, with her eyes. She winked at him and looked at Corey next. She knew this made Corey hot and bothered and gets him flirty. She touched his arm. "Mm, big. Going to the gym more often for football season. Sexy." She said with a giggle and turned back to Ben, licking her lips.
Ben shifted uncomfortably. He wasn’t used to talking to others, and preferred if they left him alone. But obviously that wasn’t going to happen. He thought about ignoring Janelle, but in most societies that was considered rude. “Hi Janelle,” he said. “We’re just going to look at-” He was about to say “hockey stuff”, when he noticed Corey’s glare. “Soccer stuff,’ he finished. He honestly thought it was stupid that Corey didn’t want anyone to know that he collected hockey merchandise. It wasn’t like other people would tease him. Not Corey, the school’s star football player. While Corey was a good friend, he hated that most people just knew him as “Corey’s friend”. Most didn’t know that he played soccer. Then again, that’s what he got for living in a town that revolved around either football or hockey. He held back a snort at Janelle’s comment of Corey going to the gym. Corey hadn’t been to the gym since football season ended. He was the type of guy who was fine not going to the gym for six months. Corey would always go back to the gym just before the season started just to keep up the appearance that he did.
"So, Corey. How've things been with Veronica?" Janelle asked stepping a little closer to Corey, running her fingers up and down his arm, licking her lips. "Uh, I hear she hangs out with that guy whose on the football team too, Bradley Anderson, I think? Number 21? Yeah. Someone in her neighborhood said she saw him leave her house Friday night. And didn't you say you were hanging out with her Friday night? Think she might have invited him over after you left?" She asked softly and bit down on her lip lightly. She looked at Ben and winked at him. "So, I'm throwing a party this Saturday night. After the big game. Want to come? Ben, You and Janelle? Its a spin the bottle party. So things will get... Heated." She giggled and smirked. She pulled back and blew Ben a kiss, twirling around. "Corey, you know where I live. Show up... Or don't. But Ben? You should totally come. And tell Janelle!" She said and walked away.
((Sorry for the wait. I had to throw some laundry on the clothesline. But I'm back now.))“Pretty good,” Corey replied. He listened to her little speech about Veronica and resisted the urge to roll his eyes. “No, I don’t think she did,” he said, a bit annoyed. He trusted his girlfriend. He was pretty sure that she wouldn’t do something like that. Maybe he was a bit too trusting, but he wasn’t like some other guys who were too nosy about their girlfriends. If she was hanging out with Bradley, then that was fine with him as long as she wasn’t cheating on him. He was for sure, not cheating on her. He loved her and couldn’t imagine being with someone else. “Sure, I’ll come to the party, and I’ll see if Janelle will. Ben?” he asked his friend, who was currently looking at the schedule for next season’s soccer games.
“What? Party?” Ben asked, looking up. He shrugged. “Yeah, I guess I will.” Corey knew that Ben wasn’t the most social person, but didn’t understand why. Who didn’t want to go to parties? He did, and he was on the A/B honor roll. He always thought that Ben needed a social life outside of soccer. The party would be the perfect excuse for Ben to get out and hang around others.
Janelle and Bradley were at Sports Central together, laughing and looking at Football balls and boots. She picked out a pink football boot for him and wiggled her brows, jokingly. "I think this would look, AMAZING on you darling!" She winked and they both shared a laugh. She shook her head and locked eyes with Corey's. She waved at him sweetly and turned back to Bradley, like Corey was just a friend. But it was because she thought she was interrupting bro time with Corey and Ben. But it seemed like she was more interested with Bradley than Corey. But she really wasn't.
Corey saw Bradley and frowned. Noticing Janelle’s wave, he forced a smile on his face and waved back. He turned back to Ben, who shook his head. “Trust me Corey, it’s not worth getting into a fight,” he said. “Start a fight here, and the manager will kick us all out. And we’ll all be mad at you because you couldn’t resist getting into a fight with Bradley.”
“But-” Corey tried to speak, but Ben cut him off.
“It’s not worth it. They’re just hanging out.”
“You wouldn’t understand. You’re single,” Corey retorted.
“Hey, didn’t you say that you would ask Janelle to the party? Be civil and go over there and ask,” Ben asked, trying to change the subject.
Huffing, Corey put on a smile and walked over to them. He tried to ignore the fact that they were laughing over a pink boot.
Veronica smiled, "Hey you. Me and Bradley over here were just looking for Football shoes for him. I choose these pink ones. I think they're great." She chuckled with him and looked to Corey. "What do you need babe?" She asked and hugged his side. Bradley saw how forced the smile Corey had on his face. "Uh, I'm going to go. Nice hanging out with you, Ronnie."
"Oh? Okay. Well, see you Friday night, right?" She asked with a smile and hugged Bradley before he left. She hugged his side again, smiling. "So what did you need, baby?" She asked getting onto the tip of her toes and kissing his cheek lightly, but he tensed.
To say Corey was jealous was a bit of an understatement. He was definitely jealous, which was stupid, because he had no reason to be. But he didn't know that. He was staring at one of the television screens as Veronica said goodbye. He didn't like anyone calling his girlfriend "Ronnie". Never mind the fact that he didn't call her that. He snapped back to attention when she asked him what he needed. "Um…" he struggled to remember what he was going to ask. "Right. Janelle invited Ben, you, and I over to the party on Saturday, and I was wondering if you wanted to come." At the moment, he was regretting going over to her. She'd left because she had been interrupting their time, and now he was interrupting her time with Bradely.
((My bad! I mixed names! Because in all my other RP, my charries name is Veronica! I'll just change her name to Veronica now.))
Veronica sighed. "I don't know... I... I suck at parties. I'm too scared to talk to people. I don't think you remeber who your girlfriend is. Veronica Garcia? The quiet nerdy shy girl? Yeah. That's me. And uh, I'm sure you don't want to be tied down to just me. You sure want to talk to your cheeleader friends and football buddies. Its okay, you don't have to invite if you don't want me to, babe." She smiled and kissed his lips. But she knew she should go. She needs to be able to be more social. The star footballers have trophy girlfriends. They're beautiful, good with speaking. She's just beautiful. Well, in Corey's eyes.
"I would like you to come, but you don't have to if you don't want to," he said. He felt guilty for asking her, forgetting that she was shy. Some boyfriend he was. Although if Ben decided to come instead of "forgetting" like he normally did, and Veronica decided to come, they could be shy and antisocial together. Although how much fun that would be, he wasn't sure.
Veronica shrugged and shook her head. "Since I'm your girlfriend, I should honestly try and be social with your friends. So, for you? I'll go to the party." She said and kissed his lips lightly. "Is there like a theme or something? Sorry. I haven't been to a party since I was... Thirteen." She blushed and bit down on her lip lightly, then looked back at Ben. "Oh goodness. I feel so bad! Go back to Ben. Call me tonight or something." She swallowed hard and smiled quickly. But now she had no one to hang out with. She pouted at the thought then sighed, turning around.
Corey smiled. "Thanks," he said. "She didn't say anything about a theme and it's okay." He looked in the direction she was and noticed Ben staring at the calendar of the year's football games, something that he always did when he was bored. "I'll call you later tonight. I love you," he said, as she started to walk away. He felt bad that he'd accidentally ran off Bradley. Now she had no one to hang out with. He walked back over to Ben, who looked up from the calendar."How did it go?" Ben asked.
"She said she'd come," Corey said.
Veronica sighed, hugging herself, walking off to her car. She might as well go home and wait for Corey to call, because honestly, she had no other friends. She sighed softly, running her hands through her hair. She started her car, looking at her phone like she'd get a call. But... From who? Her parents never cared where she was. Corey was only going to call later on, in the night, Bradley was too scared to call her. And other than that? No one. She honestly couldn't help, but feel like every other word girls whisper about her being a freak and friendless, was begining to become true to her. She bit down on her lip and drove back to her house, switching her phone off.
((Aww… poor Veronica. I feel so sorry for her. And now I'm mad at Corey for being a jerk. Anyway, do you want to do a time skip to later in the evening or what? Because I can't think of anything to post.))
Corey almost forgot to call. He blamed it on a bad memory, although he had a pretty good one. He'd been on the couch, not really watching what was on TV. His parents weren't home. They went out to dinner and wouldn't be home till after midnight. Something in the back of his mind reminded him to call Veronica. He jumped up and grabbed his phone, dialing her number. As it rang, he hoped she'd pick up.
Veronica was reading a book when her phone started ringing. She looked at caller ID and smiled wide. She giggled and sat on her bed, fluffing her hair, even though he couldn't see her. "Hey, you." She said sweetly, laying down on her bed, biting down on her lip. She loved getting butterflies from just hearing his handsome voice. How... How did a guy like him, get a girlfriend like her? She was at the bottom of the popularity list. And he was number one! She still understand.
((I'm sorry! I had a meeting after school.))Corey smiled when she picked up. He loved the sound of her voice. At least she hadn't forgotten. "Hey Veronica, how are you?" He asked. He hoped that she wouldn't ask him if he forgot to call her. He didn't think she would, but you never knew. It just reminded him what a bad boyfriend he was. One should never forget to call their girlfriend when they said they would.
Veronica smiled and shrugged. "I'm alright. Been bored the whole day. Mom and dad are gone out. Just me. Been waiting for your call for a long time, but atleast you called now!" She smiled and sighed. "Oh my gosh, that probably sounded so pathetic. Like all I do is stare at the phone." Even though she does. She doesn't stare, but she glances every minute. She cleared her throat. "But anyways. How was the rest of your day?" She asked softly, laying in her bed, playing with strands of her hair, closing her eyes, listening to his voice.
The fact that she'd been waiting for his call for a long while sent guilt through him. He chuckled a little at her comment about staring at the phone. For some reason, he found it funny. "My day's been pretty good. Mom and Dad when out, so I'm alone." He reached over for the remote and muted the tv. "I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner tomorrow," he said, just thinking of the idea. When was the last time they'd done that? He was pretty sure it'd been a couple of months, and figured that it would be nice to go out.
Veronica bit down on her lip hard, "Oh, baby.. You should've told me earlier, because Friday is just tomorrow. I'm... I'm hanging out with Bradley. And then the next day is the party and sunday is family day. Then next week Friday, I'm grounded for going out with you last week, remember? The cops caught us in your car and uh, I was really.. Drunk. Yeah. Grounded for 2 weeks. Not allowed to go to parties or dates." She sighed and sighed, "Sorry baby." She mumbled and felt really bad. She couldn't tell him what was going on between Bradley and her. Bradley would freak.
"It's all right," he said, though he was disappointed. He'd honestly forgotten what happened last week. He wasn't happy about her and Bradley, though. He tried to shake away the jealousness. She had the right to hang out with other people than him. So why did it bother him? Because it was Bradley. While they got along fine on the football field, they never really got along off it. He didn't want his girl around Bradley. But he didn't say anything though. There was no use coming off like a jerk.
Veronica sighed, hearing the disappointment in his voice. She pouted, feeling bad. "Aw, Corey... I feel so bad. I can cancel with Bradley." She whispered into the phone, her voice shaky as if she were to cry. She was emotional!! She swallowed hard, "I feel so stupid. I should obviously put my own boyfriend before a stupid friend." She muttered under her breathe, but accidentally into the phone.
"You don't have to do that. I messed up your afternoon today, and I'm sorry for that. But you shouldn't cancel your day, because of me," he said, feeling even more guiltier. His guiltiness grew as he heard the shakiness of her voice. He didn't mean to make her almost cry. He was about to say more when he heard her mutter something. He thought about replying when he stopped. Whatever she said, hadn't been meant for him to hear. Then again, he was just as guilty as her. There'd been plenty of times when he'd put his friends before her.
Veronica paused and kept quiet, for a few minutes. "Come over, please." She whispered into the phone, her voice raspy. "Please, please come over. Now, Corey." She said softly, and hung up. Ronnie sighed, not sure what to do. She's supposed to put her boyfriend first.. Right? Ugh, right now she wished she had girl friend's, to cuddle with. Talk about Corey and her. She had no one to do that with, and it honestly broke her apart. She was so... Lonely.
It nearly broke his heart to hear Veronica like that. "I'll be over in a couple minutes," he said. When she hung up, he turned off the television and ran upstairs to get his keys. Grabbing them and his jacket, he ran back downstairs. He turned off the lights and locked the door behind him as he went out the door. He got in his truck and started it up. He drove as fast as he could over to her house. Luckily no cops were out to pull him over. Parking the car, he got out and ran to the door. He hesitated at the door, wondering if he should knock, or just go in. Thinking the latter was a better choice, he turned the knob and walked inside. "Veronica?" He called.
