Medu's hair crossed itself into an 'x'. "You're mostly wrong," he stated, "Medusa was not born a Gorgon. She was cursed by the Goddess Athena after being raped by Posiedon in Athena's temple in Athens. She gave birth to a baby girl who carried her cursed traits, but to a smaller degree, before Perseus cut her head off. Gorgons, most of us, are descendants of Medusa, as neither of the other original Gorgons had children that lasted long after death.

" I knew about the curse. I just didn't feel like mentioning it. So, you pretty much control your hair." Hazel replied.

"You can't just 'not feel like mentioning' the curse," Medu stated, "It's a vital part of what a Gorgon actually is. And I don't control my hair, or name myself after Medusa. My mothers did, and my hair is alive."

"I didn't mention it because I though you would have already known and what do you mean that your hair is controlled by mothers ?" Hazel replied.

"My mothers named me," Medu clarified, "And my hair is alive. It's not controlled by anyone."

" How many mothers do you have?" Hazel asked confused.

"Two, with a dozen fathers," Medu replied, "But it's mostly just my mothers."

Hazel was now very confused, " why do you have a dozen fathers?" she asked him.

"It's part of the mating process," Medu responded, slightly annoyed with all the questions, "Did you never learn a thing about snakes? Seriously?"

" Umm no! I don't make it a daily habit of learning about snakes. I still think snaked are pretty cool though." Hazel replied.

"They never taught you anything in Biology? Your teachers should be ashamed," Medu remarked, shrugging.

" In quite positive we don't learn about snakes in Biology. So what kind of powers do you have?" Hazel replied.

"My powers are for me to know," Medu stated, "I can't go around telling people everything about me. And, plus, I don't know if you won't be hostile towards me in the future."

"You're right. I'm anything but hostile." Hazel replied.

"Things could change," Medu retorted, "And I don't wanna take that chance."

" Hey! I'm not going to to spread the news about your powers around the whole Academy. I have no interest in doing that. Besides I'm a very nice person." Hazel replied.

"I don't care," Medu said, "I'd like to keep what I can do to myself, thank you. If it becomes vital for you to know, then you will know."

" It's okay. I understand. Besides I can always compel it out of you, but I won't." Hazel replied as she relaxed onto her chair.

Hazel noticed the guy that she was sitting beside get up to get a book. Man he was silent, she forgot that he was even there.

Hazel turned her attention back to her book.

Medu rolled his eyes. "You'd be stone before you could do that," he snapped.

" And how exactly would I be stone" Hazel asked.

[sucre'd fiend, Perfection]

"You know what Medusa did," Medu stated plainly, avoiding giving out any hints as to how long his powers lasted. He hissed lightly, irises slitting, before they returned to normal and he resumed reading the three books at the same time.

Hazel watched his eyes changing. She was fascinated by him. " Are you really reading 3 books at the same time?"

"Yeah, is it a problem," Medu replied, his hair turning the page of one of them while he read another.

[Irma]

" What? No it's pretty awesome." Hazel replied with a smile.

"Thanks," Medu muttered, crossing his legs. It was a pretty bad idea, but he covered up what was showing by placing his hands on his feet, his arms blocking the view. His stars were in plain sight from then, but he paid it no mind.

Hazel watched as the guy tried to cover something up but she didn't know what. " Hey what's wrong?"

"Nothing, I'm just wearing a dress," Medu replied, as if it were something you'd see everyday, "Gotta cover up what's underneath, you know."

Hazel tried to hide a smile, " Why are you wearing a dress?" she asked curiously.

"If you hadn't noticed, I don't exactly look like a guy," Medu stated, rolling his eyes.

" What do you mean, many guys have long hair. You also definitely act like a guy" Hazel replies honestly. " But you the dress kinds of kill the whole gulping like a guy thing."

Hazel glared angrily at Rye then turned her attention back to Medu, " I was trying to be nice but you still act like a guy." she replied before turning her attention back to the book.

Hazel looked up to see the quiet guy, " you know I didn't think you were capable of talking."

"Then, don't ask stupid questions," Medu said, "It'd be nice."

" ok first of all I wasn't asking stupid questions I was giving my opinion and second, are you always such a asshole?" Hazel replied irritated.

"I am to stupid people asking equally stupid questions," Medu responded, not looking up from his books. Another page turned, and he cracked a smile at the picture in front of him.

Hazel should probably leave now, but she was very intrigued by the guy. She noticed him smiling at something. " What's so funny?"

"Well..." Rye said "I'm not dumb just dislike blondies all over me but you dony seem like one..."

"Why would they throw themselves at you" Hazel blurted, too late to take her words back.
