Celine walked silently into the library, searching for a book. She'd take any book, really. She was pretty bored and needed some reading material. Once I find a book, I'm going to go out and read. I really have nothing to do here." She found a nice book that she would like to read - it was about the history of supernaturals - and checked it out. This looks positively interesting. I will have my hands full with this book. She left the library in search of solitude.

((whoop! Library is free!))
Evangeline walked into the library with her little dragon Ada following behind. Both of them had a book or sheafs of paper in their arms as they took their assignments from her classes to work on them. She loved the library, being surrounded by books was lovely and she always felt safer. Books had never betrayed her and were always constant, after all. She inhaled, taking in the smell of the books and ancient knowledge that awaited her eager mind. She moved to the far back of the library, where people seldom went unless seeking complete quiet and solitude, a line of books following after her as she picked them from the shelves with her telekinesis when she passed by anything interesting.

(( excellent. Btw, Sakura, I love the title you added on to your name. Super cool. :) ))
Really, he was just looking for a nice place to nap.
Josh wasn't sure if the librarians secretly hated him yet or had somehow been able to put up with his quiet annoyances, but thus far he hadn't been kicked out of the library for sleeping on 'the job'.
He considered that a go ahead.
It had been maybe an hour or so ago he had snuck his way to the back, grabbed a random book, curled up in a semi-sitting position on one of the more comfortable chairs, and promptly fallen asleep in the dusky rays of afternoon.
Unfortunately, in his sleepy quest Josh had blindly grabbed a book entitled, "What A Woman Wants" and propped the glossy, creatively illustrated piece of literature up on his chest; glasses now askew but a faithful ballcap hiding what was most to be seen of his face from view as he snored silently between the pages.
Perhaps he should be more careful next time.
((This is very much a remake of the beginning of our last meeting ! Lol))

((XD thanks! You're the first person to comment on it actually))
Evangeline had finished her assignments for the day and put away the books she had borrowed. Done with what was necessary, she turned to stroll the bookshelves for what she wanted to read at leisure. Ada was sitting at her table still, making sure no one else claimed it.
As Evangeline was walking, she noticed a colorful book cover. Curious, she turned and read the title of it. Even more curious as to who would be reading something like that so publicly in the library, she inched closer to the table and said, "Excuse me? Might I inquire as to who is reading this book?"
((XD haha it kinda is))

The sound of her voice barely penetrated his sleep. Josh took a slow intake of breath and muttered something that sounded like, in a sleep drunken slur, "Can I help you officer?" And then, a few quiet moments later, "No, I promise I... Well..."
It seemed as if he was resurfacing out of sleep as his nose scrunched, his brow furrowed, and suddenly his eyes jumped open underneath the brim of his hat.
Josh's chin jerked up so he could peer up at whoever it was talking and he stared at Evangeline until his mind began to kick back into motion and piece together what had happened. "Oh,"
Evangeline.
"N-No one. I mean, me, but - " he reached up and grabbed the book off of him, glancing down at the cover to see what it actually was. The glance turned into a stare of slow realization. Oh...
His brown eyes flicked up to her, blank behind his glasses. "This isn't m-mine."

Evangeline giggled a little, but hid her smile of amusement behind her hand. "Well, of course its not yours. It obviously belongs to the library." she teased, then leaned on the chair he was sitting in. "So....if its not yours, does this mean some random patron walked over and put the book on you to embarrass you in a situation like this?" she inquired, her eyes glittering in amusement. "Because I think that's an interesting way to poke fun at someone." she said a moment later.
Did a random patron frame him with a book called "What Women Want" while he slept? Maybe because his mind was still sluggish from being dragged unwillingly back into the real world, or because he really didn't know what else to say, Josh nodded after a moment - expression still as blank as a deer caught in the headlights.
"Yes." He answered decidedly, but a small quirk of a smile flickered onto his face a moment later to show that although it was a lie, it was a funny one.
"Random patrons don't like me very m-much."

Evangeline giggled again and said, "Well, I suppose they must like you enough to embarrass you to pull something like that." she glanced away to look for Ada, then figured that the tiny dragon would be along momentarily. Returning her attention to Josh, she gave him a gentle smile and said, "It is nice to see you again in either case. I have not talked to anyone since the last time we spoke."
"R-Really?" Josh spoke maybe a little too quickly, and he knew it right away. "I m-mean, really? Oh. I guess I made an impression, then." He smiled, encouraged by her giggle. Setting the book onto the table with a reproachful glance at its fruity cover, he yawned and then fixed his glasses back onto his face properly. "You c-caught me sleeping." He said, as if it wasn't obvious.
Evangeline pulled a chair over so she could sit down near him. "I could see that. If I recall correctly, the first time we met, I caught you sleeping then as well." she teased. "But yes, I did enjoy talking with you enough that it left an impression on me." she tilted her head, her long blonde hair cascading over her shoulder as she regarded him. "Do you have trouble sleeping at night?" she asked suddenly. "It seems you nap an awful lot, so I was curious. You don't have to answer if you don't want to."
Josh shrugged, sitting up a little better in his seat. "Yeah, this is a g-good place to sleep." He informed her, glancing around at the rest of the outdated section meaningfully. Then he remembered, with a tweak of embarrassment, how he really had been sleeping last time they met. When he wasn't studying he was sleeping and when he wasn't doing either it was only because he couldn't. "I d-don't really sleep that well at n-night... You're right." He offered her another smile, glad she wasn't poking into his life without giving him the option to evade an answer if he wanted.
"I can understand why you would come to a library to sleep." Evangeline said with a smile. "Its quiet, peaceful and not many people tend to bother others that seem busy. If I had trouble sleeping, I would certainly come here to to it." she glanced at him as he responded to her question. "If you don't sleep well at night because its hard to sleep, I have some books that could prove useful in terms of finding out what it is making it hard to sleep and how to fix it and, if you really need it, I could find you a sleeping potion as well. Napping all the time without entering deep into REM sleep is detrimental to your health." she informed him. "I'd hate to see or hear of you getting sick." she blushed after she spoke and stammered out, "B-because you s-seem nice is all...."
As Josh watcheed Evangeline's embarrassment evolve, he couldn't help but grin. Although it was mostly hidden, it still felt good. "I'd h-hate to see me get sick too," he agreed. Then, trying to remember their last conversation, did she know what he was? Only because of the awkwardness of his 'condition' did he avoid getting into the details with people; but sometimes it was unavoidable. But if she could help him, wasn't it worth a shot? Evangeline was probably the nicest to him yet and if he were to trust anyone... "I don't kn-know what would help, really. The whole 'not sl-sleeping card' comes with the game... I hear other p-people can somehow do it, but I've always been too s-sore and..." Josh paused. "Have you t-tried it before? A sleeping draught? Does it only w-work on humanoids?"
Evangeline tilted her head to the side, thinking back to their previous conversation and remembering that he was a werewolf with a tendency to shift every night. She wanted to smack her forehead at her own idiocy. Of course he would need to nap during the day if he was shifted at night all the time. "I've used this one particular sleeping potion before, and I'm a big fan of its effects." she said finally. "You have to be very careful about sleeping potions. Many of them will make you wake up with a killer headache. Luckily, i know of a good one that won't do that.....how did that shifting potion go, by the way? Did it work, or no? I've done a little research on some other potions that might help you if that one failed."
The idea of getting a real night's sleep was a little too thrilling. Josh hadn't been a werewolf his whole life, but he was beginning to have a hard time remembering what it was like to sit through an entire class without nearly falling asleep. "It..." Josh thought back. Sometimes it was difficult to remember shifting, but this one came back clearer than usual. "It slowed it down. D-Definitely slowed it down. Instead of a minute it took m-maybe ten? Numbed it a little too. I'm sorry, I forgot. Thanks ag-gain, it did help. I'll use it again." He really meant it. Also, although he didn't mention it, it had made him a little less berserk afterwards; he had only managed to scratch up the floor slightly. "I don't really kn-know m-much about potions."
Evangeline smiled and said, "Well, you're lucky to have me around then. I happen to excel at potion making. I used to need it a lot back...." she quieted again, her lips pursing together at the unwanted negative memories threatening to swamp her. "Nevermind. Anyways, I found a potion that is supposed to help you retain more of your humanoid self after the transformation occurs. It'll make it so you're aware and in control of yourself while your shifted. I thought maybe if I saw you again, then maybe you might want to try it."
"H-Hell yeah." The stutter hardly impeded his enthusiasm. Josh reached up and finally took his hat off, seeing as he wouldn't need it now he was awake for good, and wrung it in his hands as he thought about shifting without... losing himself. "That'd be am-mazing. I looked for s-something like that forever, b-but I never... I never tried p-potions." He shrugged a little. Live and learn.
The small slip of memories Evangeline caught didn't pass entirely unnoticed, but Josh let it be. No need to poke around in places his nose wasn't meant to be.

"I've never made this particular potion before." she warned him, unwilling to get his hopes up too high. "So there's a possibility of mistakes being made, or for it to not work properly at first. I've only just found the potion, and its complicated, even by my standards. It will take considerable effort to complete, even more so to obtain the necessary ingredients." She bit her lip as she looked at him. "But I'll certainly try my best, regardless." she finished.
He nodded. Nevertheless, it was the closest he had ever gotten to a guarentee and maybe it was only because he hadn't been afflicted long enough to accept what was happening to him, but Josh was at the point of trying nearly everything he could get his hands on. Evangeline was just another page in the dozens of text books he had memorized. She offered just as much.
Then the thought hit him, like a senseless tug in the back of his mind finally noticed, and Josh tilted his head a little; gaze turning - although thoughtful - kind of odd.
"Wh-Why are you doing this?" He finally asked, fixating her in a curious, brown-eyed stare. "I've only m-met you tw-wice and every time it's about how to h-help me..."

Evangeline bit her lip, tucking her long blonde hair behind her ear before meeting his gaze. "I'm....not sure...." she admitted after a moment. "I don't know if its because you make me think of my little brother, or because I find you fascinating, or I really want a friend or I like you or what." she blushed when she realized she said that she might like him, hoping he hadn't caught it in the influx of words that had poured out of her like water over a cliff, tumbling out and falling over each other in its haste.
As Derek opened the library door, he was thankful that he had enough energy to summon a winged ghouroi vodou. This school had more twists and turns than anything he had ever encountered before. He soon set his bag down on a table near the back, and soon scoured the shelves. He soon found a book on ancient sigils, and sat down at his designated table. He soon fell into the deep trance of sleep, and laid his head down.
Kazuya entered the library and looked around at the extensive amount of books. If there was ever a place to do research, this was as good a place as any to start. He ran a hand through his hair absently, then let it drift down to touch the bandages that covered the entirety of his right arm with a sigh. It was starting to pain him again, and he wasn't sure about what to do for it. He moved quietly through the massive bookshelves, skimming the book titles as he passed them. He stopped when he found a book on white tigers and pulled it from the shelf, hoping it contained some useful information about his species. His wings rustled against his back as he searched for an empty table to begin reading. He knew little to nothing about his species other than the few things that his parents had told him before their untimely demise. He shook his head sharply and sat down at an empty table, trying to keep those darker thoughts from awakening within his mind. He couldn't afford to keep letting dark memories from his past control him, otherwise what was the point in their saving his life? He had to live on and grow and keep their memories, the good memories, close to his heart. That was how he had to carry on. With that in mind, he pulled out a notebook from his shoulder bag and a pencil, flipping to a blank page before opening the book and starting to read, taking note of anything of interest or importance to look up in other books later.
Derek slowly started to regain consciousness. He had an unnerving feeling that there was a powerful entity somewhere in the vicinity. His eyes started to itch, and he looked up. What he saw surprised him. A boy around his age sat at the opposite end of the common room. Nothing out of place, for Derek was no stranger to the different species of the supernatural world, but he was different. Something was off. He summoned a small minion to put the book back (it was useless anyway), and he continued to observe him. Only when that boy look up did Derek find a suitable course of action.
Kazuya was partway through his book when he started to get that unnerving feeling that he was being watched. His finger marking the paragraph he was on, he lifted his head, his eyes roving the nearby area as he wondered who was looking at him or if it was just a figment of his imagination. His eyes landed on a male at a table opposite him in the library and he blinked, head tilting to the side as he wondered why this male was staring at him. He wasn't breaking any rules, nor was he reading a dirty book or anything, so its not like they had cause to stare in his mind, but since he couldn't read minds, he wouldn't figure out why they were staring until one of them got up to interact with the other. Well, since he was not the one to start staring at the other, he found no real reason to walk over and as such returned to his book after rubbing at his bandaged arm absently.
Derek started to plot. Honestly, all he had left to do was plot. He brought out a piece of parchment. Now, he thought, why am I plotting? Answer, he continued, The power could incredibly useful for the Mark of Cain. He winced, but he continued to plot. How could I be able to gain the power, he thought. He racked his nearly eidetic memory, and smiled. I need to gain some part of his genetic code to brew a potion to study it, he thought. He thought of the easiest way to attain it. He quickly deduce that hair would be the easiest way. He got up, grabbed his spell book, and headed towards the door. He bumped into the table, and said,“Oh, I'm sorry." He hoped for some sort of reaction.
((You can't rp my character. You NEVER rp someone elses character without permission. Change your post))
((on top of which you didn't even do a good job of rping Kazuya cause he doesn't even act like that))
((It's all good. Sorry about not knowing))
((its alright though also the reason why I recommended being in a beginner level group so that you could learn such things in a group where everyone is learning like you and mistakes such as that are okay since you're still learning. Because not all members can handle charrie stealing calmly and some might blow up at you over it, so its good to at least know the basics))
((Anything else you need to tell me so that stuff doesn't happen?))
((Oh. Could you perhaps send it to me?))
Aaron wrote: "Derek started to plot. Honestly, all he had left to do was plot. He brought out a piece of parchment. Now, he thought, why am I plotting? Answer, he continued, The power could incredibly useful for..."Kazuya flinched back away from the boy when he bumped the table, looking up at him with narrowed eyes. "You should be careful. Some of these tables have.....very sharp edges.....you could get hurt." he said in a cold voice. Despite his best intentions, once he had started to think about his deceased family, and the spurring sadness mixed with the hatred he had for those who had killed them came out when he interacted with the boy who stood near him in the way of a concealed threat.
“Oh, thanks?" Derek feigned confusion, but he felt nothing but intrigued. The power surrounding his aura seemed to ... fluctuate. That's the word. Somehow he has to get that hair. So he might as well figure out why his aura shifted. “Can I sit with you for a second. Homework assignment." His eyes gleamed and he started to tap his foot.
((two things; if Kazuya leaned AWAY from Derek, how did he get a hair strand? he moved in the opposite direction of him.two: I did not put anywhere on my post that he was confused by anything, so saying he is confused by something is essentially making something up about my character))
((I didn't know you edited))Kazuya's eyes narrowed as he stared at the boy. "No, you may not. As surprising as it must be for a total stranger to reject helping you, I have my own assignments to complete that I can't do when I'm being pestered." he said coldly. "Now, if you are through disrupting me, I need to get back to my research so that I might be able to finish an essay worthy enough of a decent grade to avoid flunking." He gathered his things, turned, and walked away to a table further down so that he might return to working in silence as he had done before the boy had interrupted him.
Derek smiled, and he felt a pang of hatred. ‘Interesting', he thought, and he walked right behind him. He went to search for a book on hypnosis, but he stopped himself. ‘Am I really going to spend this much amount of time and effort for a hair strand?', he thought. ‘Yes, and anything else for Sammuel.' He took a promising book, and sat back at the table. As he read on the boring subject of hypnotizing members of the opposite gender (“or the same sex, wink wink.") with your charisma, he thought of how pointless this book is. ‘First,' he thought,‘why waste this much time trying to seduce someone? Also, is this person that important?' He ultimately went with a tried and trued method.
He brought out of his bag a curved obsidian wand. It was covered in runes of darkness and despair (his favorite kind). He looked into his power reserves, and saw that he had enough energy for one small minion. He started to chant, but realized that he had company. He resigned himself to drawing runes on a paper. Soon he felt a twang of power, and followed that lead. Soon he felt smoke rising towards the runes. What resulted was a small, grey wrinkled creature. Its eyes were pure black, its mouth was lined with needle-sharp teeth, and its hands ended in claws. It hissed, which either meant “You called, master?" or “I have a sick obsession with transgender cats." Derek was hoping for the former. Quickly, He explained to the ghouroi vodou why he had summoned it, and what the plan was.

Kazuya glanced behind him when the boy followed him and gave an irritated sigh. "I never thought that not even the library would be a suitable place to study." he muttered angrily, digging in his bag for his library card, then moving to check out the book he was studying so he could leave, his wings rustled against his back to betray his irritation, as he had no reason to hate the boy. He was and had only been irritated at the interruptions when it was clear he was studying. After the book was checked out, he glanced behind him to see the boy had summoned some weird creature and made a face before leaving the library. What a weird boy....I hope I don't meet him again. he thought to himself.
((Mwahahaha! Oh this will be fun. ))
After the ghouroi vodou scampered off to complete his task, Derek felt bored. He needed to take some classes, and he needs to progress further in his research. For now, he grabs a book on divining the meanings of ancient runes. He takes his card, checked the book , and walked out of the door. He walked along the hallway, and admired the stars (to throw the suspicions of one annoying gorgon). He headed to a balcony, and activated his tattoo. Black wings unfurled from his back, and he headed to the dorm he was assigned to.
