Shinata smiled at him. "only because your explainig everything." she said

"Nah....I'm only a fast learner in combatic situations." she said.

"When its due to having been raised up learning to fight or die, its not all that great in comparison." Shinata told him, flicking her hair out of her face with a sigh. "I may be good at fighting, but that doesnt mean that I'm proud of it." she added.

Shinata ducked her head a little and said "Pride is what made Athena turn Arachnes into the first spider." she smiled a little and said "I read a lot of Greek mythology. I find the gods and demigods fascinating."

Shinata copied him and said "Aptitude? I mean, Arachnes made wonderful tapestries, but the moral of the story of Athena turning Arachnes was that she got prideful over them and greedy as well. I try not to feel prideful because I dont want the same thing to happen to me." a blush suddenly flushed her cheeks and she added "I mean that I dont want something bad to happen to me just because I'm good at something, or better than otheres."

"Well, I mean...." she said, flustered "I dont mean at all, I just want to be careful not to get overly proudful...." her black hair swept into her face and she blew it out of her eyes, but it swept back almost immediantly and she scowled.
Serena walked into the room, wondering is this the right room? She was sure that she was supposed to be in science right now.
There was no doubt Mort belonged as he entered the classroom. But he cried out "anybody here?" just in case someone else was lurking around. Mort did his potion mixing in one of the back labs and he had a burgeoning little cottage industry going of selling enchaced power packs to students. No sales today, but he had a shipment of baby octopus eyes he had to tend to.
Mort finished his work, making sure fresh potions were available in case businees picked up tomorrow. He then retired for the evening to the teacher quarters.
Mort returned to mix a potion that night. A witch didn't want new powers, but wanted a facelift. Said she was tired of looking 50 centuries old and wanted to be more like the kids! Ah, vanity, but Mort agreed to do it so he set about cutting up his octopus eyes.
Mort locked up and headed back to the teacher's quarters. The witch hadn't come by, but he knew she would. Not every witch could look like Elizabeth Montgomery, but this one took hideous to a new height.

Shinata blushed and gave him a shy smile. "Thanks." she said softly, her eyes glimmering in the sunlight.

Shinata's blush darkened as he said that. "D-do you really think that?" she asked, sounding almost.....surprised. As if she wasnt told that often.

Shinata smiled and said "Th-thanks....I'm not usually....seen as beautiful."

"Sure, sounds nice to me." Shinata said, standing up. Her black hair caught a ray of sunlight, making it shimmer slightly with a blueish green hue. The red tips sparked like fire.

"The lake sounds good to me." she said, collecting her notebooks. She had quietly copied all his notes at the last second in her delicate, loopy handwriting.

Shinata blushed again. "Thanks, your really nice Derick." she told him. Her dark blue eyes glittered in happiness, the dark green flecks standing out in sharper relief in contrast with the nearby sunlight. "Lets go."

Axel walked into the science classroom, hands in his black hoodie. He had decided while roaming the school that it was time he actually get some classes in. He wasn't exactly here because he was a supernatural but because he was forcibly enrolled in the academy by a demon. He still wasn't sure exactly why, but he figured it couldn't be good. Pulling up a chair, Axel slumped down in it. It was near the back, far enough away that he couldn't really be noticed. He hoped he blended in to the rest of the class.
"Hey" a girl said sitting next to her
At first, Axel hadn't even realized anyone was talking to him. He'd heard her of course, but it didn't register that she might be addressing him. He turned his head toward her. "Oh. Hi." He said, resting his head on his arms.
Axel looked over her, trying to remember if he'd ever talked to her. She didn't seem familiar... "Who are you?" He asked. It came out a little harsher than expected.
"No need to be mean " she said "I'm rose "
Axel smirked a little, "Mean? You don't know mean..." He turned his head to the other side, away from her, "Rose? Like the flower?"
Star wandered into the classroom, as she hadnt went to any when she came there.She was in her casual outfit, some dark blue jeans, and a light blue top with medium sleeves.She noticed two students talking and decided to join in."Hi."Star said.
"Yes my name Is like the flower " she said "proud of it "

Axel glanced up, hearing another girl. Two questions ran through his head: one, why were there so many girls at this school; and two, why were there so many people in general at this school? He didn't say anything to either of them, just closed his eyes.
Star just stared."So your human?" She said, trying to spark conversation.
Kate walks in and askes "is jenny uear?"
