Ian (setaian) | 640 comments lol...I just bought a audiobook which was apparently a serialised...it looked interesting until I saw that...now I'm wondering.

I didn't realize it until after I started reading it.

The overall story was good. It just had one or two things that irked me.

message 6457: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) I read it serialized on Wattpad. Didn't love it. But absolutely love her novel About Last Night. Would rec reading that if you haven't already.

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Hi everyone. I am reading Lay It Down (Desert Dogs, #1) by Cara McKenna and listening to The Lucy Variations by Sara Zarr

I just finished Written in My Own Heart's Blood (Outlander, #8) by Diana Gabaldon Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and I loved them both.

message 6467: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments I'm so close to finishing Written in my own hearts Blood... It's so good!

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I can't wait to talk about it with you! Has as said when her next book will be out? Another 5 years?

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Ugh.

message 6472: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Although there is no cliff hanger and the ending was lovely. So I am okay for a few years. :)

message 6473: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 159 comments Finished It Felt Like a Kiss by Sarra Manning which was alright. It felt long and towards the end, didn't feel like it was worth the time.

Going to start the highly anticipated Magic Breaks (Kate Daniels, #7) by Ilona Andrews .

message 6474: by Ian (new)

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments Dee wrote: "she just started writing it...so i'm guessing 4-5 years probably"

It's just as well her fans are so loyal. Just out of curiosity...how old are Jamie and Claire now. They surely can't be spring chickens after seven 1000 page books.

message 6475: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Well I think fans are loyal because the product is amazing. I am not loyal to any series or author if they don't keep performing. I dnf and drop quick. The answer to your question (view spoiler)

message 6476: by Tellulah (new)

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Magic Breaks (Kate Daniels, #7) by Ilona Andrews Yay! Happy! Love!

message 6482: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments Yeah, we figured it out before. I'm pretty sure Jamie is now in his late 40's and Claire is in her mid to late 50's.

In the Outlander group we figured the math based on Jamie's birthday...

It's oh so very confusing.

ᴥ Irena ᴥ (-irena-) | 34 comments After reading It, which is a great book but a bit depressing, I needed something that will make me feel better. I am reading Beautiful Bad Man.

message 6485: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments You can never go wrong with Ms. O'Connell :) Great book!

I'm still moving slowly through Written in My Own Heart's Blood but it's very good. I'm a little busy with the start of school year and running all our fundraising for the PTA, our school has 875 students.

message 6486: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments Where are you at in MOBY, Leea? I'm at 73%.

message 6487: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments i'm a naught outlander mod and haven't started yet...lol!

message 6488: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments hahaha, it's hard to start. I struggled too, if Regina and Leea hadn't been reading it and texting me I probably wouldn't have.

First, it's an undertaking, being as long as it is. Second, we wait soooooo long for the new books that once it's over we're back to waiting 4-5 years. I get it. No rush.

After reading it, I agree. :)

message 6490: by Ian (new)

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments I just started Indexing by Seanan McGuire. Was a little worried about this book...I've had it for a while but couldn't bring myself to read it. But it starts with Snow White being woken by kamikaze bluebirds dive bombing into her window. Made me laugh.

I hope the promising start becomes a good book.

Indexing by Seanan McGuire

I also picked up Kiss of Steel by Bec McMaster because a friend rated it high and Easy Pickings by C.E. Murphy because Faith Hunter contributed.

Kiss of Steel (London Steampunk, #1) by Bec McMaster Easy Pickings by C.E. Murphy
