Regina...(view spoiler)[ In the beginning, I thought his family was going to come off trashy just b/c Eric hinted at it in the beginning. Also, the phone call to his sis made it seem that way too. But after Annie meets them, I didn't feel like they were at all. They just live in a poor area and do the best they can, given their circumstances. I liked that the sister was very protective of Eric growing up...scaring those skanky girls away. I also liked how McKenna showed Eric's feelings about growing up in a trailer park. I just thought it was very real how he felt (hide spoiler)]

I agree Kay. I was also worried that she would write it stereotypically or idealistically - but she did neither. It was pretty real.

How did you like Unbound, Regina?

I loved the writing and the story. But the sex was not interesting for me at all. I know that seems like a weird reason to say I dind't love it. I gave it 3.5 stars (which is a low rating for me for McKenna) but most readers gave it 4-5 stars. So they were all able to get past that issue. :)

I just finished , and I really enjoyed it. She is another one of those authors who can take the mundane and make it interesting for the reader.

I'm hoping to get at least one chapter in of before I crash!

DNF'd , wasn't bad. It's the second one of this series I've read. Typical types of action and hero. Did like that the female protagonist had some spirit to her. had that wit and steam I like in my HR. Not the absolute best example of it but a lot of fun nonetheless.

I started The Collector which is honestly just the same as every other NR books.

I guess the big difference is The Collector has plot flaws. It's OK but I can't see it being more than a 3 Star book and if that massive sign post she just tried to hide behind a stick with a leaf on it turns out to be true I might just go lower to punish her for treating me like an idiot.

How are you all liking Love in English? I love the story and the setting. I like the characters a lot. I struggle with Halle's writing because I think it isn't always well done. But I can't put this down.

I'm loving it. I'm almost done. I didn't plan to read so much, but I've been sucked 'write' in. ;)

I love the setting, too. I wonder if this is a real program, or if this is something the author came up with on her own. The story has a slow build to it, too, which is what I like.

ETA: I'm not big on the girl who acts like something crawled up her *(*(#$ and died, though. LOL

I'm going to have to read the Sins & Needles trilogy pretty soon!

I finished it and loved it. There were a few slow parts, but it didn't hinder me from enjoying the story.

This is possibly my best read so far of 2014. I'm glad you suggested it, Regina. She is another author I have been 'meaning to try,' but just haven't got around to until now!
