Michael Henderson (michael_henderson) | 15 comments I need a title for my book. I'm interested at the moment in just the impact of the title, now how it relates to the story, although you might guess there's some blood in it. I'm also interested in hearing any ideas. Here's the short list:

(Of) Blood and Stone
A Beast in Venice
Blood and Night in Venice
Blood and Water
Blood Man
Blood Martini
Blood Portal
Blood River(s)
Blood Tide
Blood Water
Blood Wine
By Water and Blood
Of Water and Blood
Red Blood Pale Bone

Looks like my comment to Paul about his logo got put below your comment.

As to what the book's about, I'm leaving that for later, although the curious can go to http://michaelhendersonnovelist.com/#... to read about it.

I've found that a lot of books have titles that sound intriguing, or are poetic (Like "Red Blood, Pale Bone") but have little, if anything, to do with what the book is about. Consider, "Blood Meridian," or "Atlas Shrugged," or "And the Ass Saw the Angel."

So I'm interested in finding out what people think of these proposed titles with respect to whether they garner any interest in what the book is about.

Yeah. What's it about? The title makes a difference.

They make me think of vampires mostly. I like the Blood/Water combinations. And for some reason I really like the first, Of Blood and Stone.
