Luke rolled his eyes "oh good, you're clueless! Would you wasn't to sign up to be the government's personal weapon that they get to use and put anywhere they want?" Luke looked at Maria. "why are you friends with this guy? He doesn't understand a thing!" He glared at Mat.

"Luke! Shut the fuck up!" Maria yelled, slamming her hand down on her desk. Some of her shadow had started to spike out across the floor. "I don't need this shit from either of you! So either shut up of get out!"
Luke saw her shadow and shut his mouth. He had dealt with her powers way too many times and didn't fell like doing it again. "sorry..." He muttered. He glanced at Mat, trying to tell him it would be a good time to shut it.
Mat had backed up from her, glancing at Luke.Maria let out a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She ran her hands through her hair, pushing it back out of her face, only to have it fall back where it was.
Luke put a hand on her shoulder. "you okay?" He asked softly.
Maria's shadow crept up the chair and onto Luke's arm, leaving a cold chill running through him. "....don't touch me...." She murmured, her face still hidden by her hairMat chewed on the inside of him cheek a bit before talking, "It's best to leave her alone when she's like this... She sort of zones out and won't listen to anyone..."
Luke sighed, pulling his hand away and nodding. "alright..." He moved away from her.

Mat sat down on Maria's bed, grabning her Ipod from the nightstand. He turned it to One of these Days by Foo Fighters and let it play out loudMaria visibly relaxed as soon as Luke let go of her. The music seemed to help to as her shadow rested on the floor and shuddered to the beat
Luke remained silent, waiting for Maria to calm down so that he wouldn't upset her any more than he already had. He wanted to be mad at Mat for knowing what to do but really couldn't bring himself to.
Mat sat awkwardly while he waited for Maria to calm down. He was bitting his lip and he glanced from her to LukeMaria rested her head on the hands and her shadow returned to normal " New rule, both of you aren't allowed in my room together"
Mat opened his mouth to protest, but quickly shut it. After thinking about what he was going to say, he stated "I can get along just fine with his"
"alright, I'm fine with that." Luke said, not really wanting to be around Mat anyway. "so Maria, when do you plan on leaving?" He asked, wanting to know so he could heave with her.
"I don't even know yet. First I need to get some money, and other things..... I may not leave at all. Man Hunter doesn't know my true identity, so I can just stop being Noir" She contemplated, more with herself than either of the guys."I like the second idea more..." Mat murmured as he changed the dong on Maria's Ipod to the Soul Eater theme song
Luke shrugged. "it's whatever you want to do... But I'm probably going to leave. I have to get away from-" he glanced at Mat for a second, sipping himself from saying 'the Joker'. He cleaned his throat. "from HIM." He looked at Maria.
Maria sighed loudly and pushed herself away from her desk before turning around in her chair, " can we just stop talking about this? ""Yeah, why don't we go do something?" Mat suggested
Luke didn't say anything, thinking that they would probably go off and do something together. Without him of course. Luke silently leaned against the wall, beside her door.
"Fine, Matt. What did you have in mind?" Maria asked"Well, we could go to that new theater that opened up in Greensville. We could see Catching Fire or something" Matt suggested. He looked over at Luke, sighing before adding "you can come too"
"wow you're inviting me? Why?" He narrowed his eyes in suspicion
Matt shrugged "Maria said either we get along, or we see less of her. I say we get used to each other"
Luke sighed. "yeah, okay. So catching fire huh?" He rose an eyebrow before looking at Maria. "Do you want to see that?" He asked, willing to watch anything she picked. Luke glanced briefly at Matt, a little surprised he was so willing to get along with him for Maria's sake.
"I really don't care. Let's just go if we're gonna go" Maria stated, getting up from her chair and grabbing a jacket from her closet.Matt looked around the room awkwardly before reaching into his pocket and pulling out his keys. He faced Luke, narrowing his eyes, "if you mess up anything in my car I'll leave you on the side of the road"
Luke scoffed. "i don't even need your stupid car. I can get there faster than your hunk of junk." He assured him, a little miffed at the weak threat Matt had tried to use on him.
"Fine by me, go on ahead. It'd probably save me gas, since I won't have to drive your fat ass" Matt sneeredMaria slapped both of them on the arm, "Remember what I said. Both of you either shape your shit up or leave"
Matt rubbed his arm, adverting his gaze from her, "Sorry..."
Luke glared, about to tell Matt off but was then his upon the arm. He sighed. "fine. I'll meet you guys there." He muttered, going to the window and opening it.
"What, what are you doing?" Matt asked, seeming dumbfounded by what he assumed Luke was going to do"Luke, c'mon. A car ride won't hurt you" Maria stated, pulling her jacket on.
"no, but i don't want to make you mad by ending up fighting with the normal. In a space that small it's bound to happen." He shrugged. Luke smirked at Matt. "hey, wanna see something cool? Watch this." With that Luke turned to wind and left.
Matt sat there with his mouth hanging open for several seconds before Maria nudged him. "C'mon" She said and started walking out of her room. Matt leapt up to follow her, "So that's why you're friends with him..." Matt muttered.((FF?))
((sure))Luke yawned. "that was pretty okay." He shrugged. "I'd rather have watched oblivion though. Gotta love Tom Crusis, am I right?" He smirked at Maria.
"Pretty okay? That chick from district 8 was awesome" Matt stated"You only liked her because she got naked in the elevator" Maria reported while elbowing Matt on the side.
"That's not true, it was aweaone when she started cussing during the interveiw thing" Matt replied, elbowing Maria right back
"i only liked her cause she got naked though." Luke admitted. "maybe Maria could do a reenactment." He joked, smirking. Luke watched them elbow each other and wondered if he'd ever be able to do that with Maria...
Maria glarred daggers at Luke, "Hell. Fucking. No." Matt backed up a bit, "well, this escalated quickly." He pulled his keys out of his pocket and started headong for his car. " C'mon guys. Let's head back"
Luke put his hands up in surrender. "hey, call down. I'm just joking." He laughed. His attention turned to Matt. "earlier i was just trying show off or freak you out so can i actually ride in the car this time?" He asked, not feeling like flying.
"Sure. I wanted to ask you about that anyway" Matt pulled the door open on the passengers side of his truck, pulling himself up into the seat before starting it up.Maria decided to sit in the back. She stretched out to sit with her legs across the middle seat, her feet in the floor board on the other side.
Luke got in shotgun and leaned back, not bothering with his seat belt. "why do you need to ask about it?" He asked, glancing over at the boy.
"Well..." Matt hesitated. "You sort of, just, disapeared back in Maria's room... I guess it's more of a confirmation than anything..."
"basically, you want to know how i did it right? Or exactly what i did." He smirked devilishly. "Maria knows, so ask her." He glanced back at their feminine friend.
"No, I know how you did it. At least I think so. You have powers, like Maria, right?" Matt asked"Yeah, he does. And he's a pain in the ass" Maria stated
"So.... How do you get powers?"
"I've told you before, I have no clue"
"more often than not you ate born with them. So sorry, you don't get to join the super awesome club." He smirked mockingly at Matt.
"That's not true, I could be like Green Lanturn and meet aliens that give me powers. Or Spiderman, with the whole "radioactive spider" thing." Matt replied, keeping his eyes on the road."And what's the chance of that happening?" Maria retorted
"not very likely. Anyway, like i said, most of the time you are born with your powers." He rolls Matt again. "besides, what aliens would want you?" Luke snickered.
"That's so low" Matt turned to hin, faking a look if depression. He took one hand off of the steering wheel and put it over his chest, gripping at his own shirt. "You cut me deep. I dunno if I can go on""Eyes on the road" Maria said, kicking the back of Matt's seat
Luke rolled his eyes. "watch the road dumbass. I can poof out of here if there an accident but Maria can't." He glared at the idiot behind the wheel.
"I'm not gonna wreck, jeez. Both of you calm your tits" Matt sighed. "It would be your fault anyway. Stop trying to distract me" Matt sighed, he had started out saying that strong, but it had grown into a murmur by the end.
"I'm not. Your just easily distracted." Luke laughed. He looked out the window at the scenery that blurred past.
Matt rolled his eyes as he drove. After about ten minutes he pulled into a gas station and up to a pump to fill up his truck. "Can you guys go tell them to turn on the gas for this pump?" He asked before handing Maria about thirty bucks to pay with.She nodded and slid out of the truck before walking to the station.
"hey, wait for me." Luke hopped it, going in after her. "how about wee use some of that for snacks? He'll never notice." He smiled deviously.
"So you'd rather eat pretzels instead of getting home? Well, I guess it doesn't matter to you, but that's beside the point. It's not yours, or my money to spend" Maria told him as she walked up to the counter to pay for the gas.
