Maria sighed " I guess that makes my job easier"
He narrowed his eyes "what do you mean?"
"Well, I have to take care of the 'side kicks' and you're already a hand full"
"Jessica would kill you and giggle at the same time... Just like her dad." He shivered.
"What are you two talking about?" Mat asked
"none of your business." Luke said dryly.
"Maria?" He asked"Like he said, it's none of your buisness"
Mat looked at her wide eyed
Luke held back a grin. "you heard her."
Maria elbowed him in the stomachIt was Mat's turn to smirk
Luke coughed "ow! Why Maria?"
"Don't be rude to my friend" Mat snickered
"and that goes for you too!"
Luke nodded "fine. But i don't have to like him do i?"
"no, but stop taunting each other" Maria sighed, rubbing her face
"alright." Luke sighed. He looked at Mat.
Mat glared at him slightlyMaria pushed past them and made her way to the comic book shop
Luke followed happily.
Mat continued to glare at him as they walked
Luke just smiled his signature jester smile at him and kept walking.
Maria looked back at him "stop that"
"stop what?" He raised an eyebrow.
He pouted "how? I always smile like that."
"Yeah, you always do" she sighed
He sighed and smiled like a normal person "better?"
"Yes" she walked into the store.Mat went over to a group of guys playing dungeons ans dragons in the corner of the store
"nerd." Luke muttered then looked at Maria. "though it could be quite sexy if you payed it." He waggled his eyebrows at her.
She rolled her eyes "I do play, and we all consider 'nerd' as a compliment"
"and you are a sexy nerd." He smirked
"Shut up" She growled and threw her jacket at him
He caught it "what? I'm just saying." he chuckled.
she walked away from him to go look at the Spawn comics
He followed, glancing over at Mat.
She flipped through the comics before sighing in defeat "Why do they never have issue 23..."
"23? My dad has that one." He frowned.
She raised an eyebrow at him "And why would he have it?"
"i'm... Not quite sure. He didn't read it though. Maybe i could get it for you?"
"Really?!" She turned to him, smiling for a moment before she scowled at him "What's the catch?"
He raised an eyebrow "nothing. Well, a kiss on the cheek would be nice but you don'thave to." He shrugged.
She turned back to the shelves of comics "Maybe if you can actually get it" She muttered
He smiled "challenge accepted."
She was blushing lightly as she looked over the comics, trying not to look at him
He leaned against the wall and glanced over at Mat.
Mat glared at him from the DND table until one of the guys nudged him and he continued playing
He smirked slight then returned to watching Maria... He got a text he looked at it and groaned.
Maria looked up at him "Your dad again?"
He nodded ; "he wants more bonding." He txted his father back and telling him he was busy.
She sighed "Well go ahead. It's not like anyone's going to stop you"
"you have to." He muttered.
"I don't have to do anything" She sighed, looking away from him
