"no, no you don't." He shook his head "besides, your dad doesn't wear makeup all the time, right?"

Jessica nodded " to hide his scars, he doesn't like his scars"
He nodded "i know. But he has a good reason. You don't have any scars, so now you're just hiding your pretty face..." He grabbed a napkin "hold still." He leaned towards her to wipe off the makeup.
She slapped his arm away "don't do that!"
He pouted "Jessica, please. You know, its bad for your skin w when you where that much makeup."
"I don't care, I like it!" She pouted right back at him
He sighed "fine..." He sat back and finished his ice cream silently.
She sat back in her fathers chair, pouting
He stood "I'll go put my bowl in the sink." He headed towards the kitchen.
Jessica started to spin around in her dads chair
He came back and raised an eyebrow.
She was staring uo at the ceiling, not even noticing him
He smiled softly "you should stop that or you'll get dizzy."
"but I'm so bored!" She yelled, slowing down her spinning slightly
"then want to play a game?" He smirked, knowing she loved his games.
She jumoed up from the chair excitedly "sure! What kind of game?"
"Hmmm..." He pretended to think about it to tease her(any ideas?)
((the knife game))Jessica waites for him to answer, hanging off tge edge of her fathers chair
He grinned "the knife game."
Jessica smirked and took out her pocket knife "so are we going for speed or time?"
"Hmm... Time." He shrugged.
She smiled and moved over to her fathers desk. she set her hand on the table and spread her fingers as wide as possible before she started stabbing the knife between her fingers
He watched carefully.
Soon she started humming "I have all my fingers, the blade goes chop-chop-chop. And if I miss the spaces inbetween my fingers will come off."
He was amazed at how skillful she was at the game. "good, really good." Luke smiled.
"If you think I'm so good, maybe you should put your hand on mine" she smirked, not taking her eyes off the knife
He thought about it before doing a she suggested "okay, I'm laying my trust in you."
She giggled a bit as she continued the song "And if i hit my fingers, the blood will soon come out. All the same I do this game 'cuz that's what it's all about." She started to speed up "ChopChopChopChopChopChop I'm picking up the speed and if I hit my fingers then my hand will start to bleed!" After 'bleed' she tried to stab Luke in the hand while pulling her's out from under his
As soon as her hand want touching his it turned into thin air. He glared playfully "i knew i shouldn't have trusted you." He tsked her before smiling.
She giggled as she dislodged her knife from the desk and started once again, humming her song
He got an idea "Jessica, I'll be back later, okay?" He quickly left the house, heading for Maria's. He picked a rose from some random house's garden.
Jessica watched him leave, her smile fading from her face "I'm alone again..." she mutteredMaria sat in her room with Mat, who was her best friend and had been over to deliver her homework since she had skipped that day. They had got distracted from her homework when Mat wanted to see Maria's powers again
Luke rang her doorbell and leaned against the doorframe, waiting for her to answer.
Maria's mother answered the door "hello, are you a friend of Maria's?" she asked
He smiled "yes. Maria and i had a disagreement earlier and I've come to apologize." He said politely "you are a very lovely woman. Maria never mentioned having a sister."
Her mother blushed a bit "you don't mean that, Maria's up in her room with Mat" she closed the door behind him
He frowned "Mat?" He nodded "thank you madam." He went up to her room and knocked on her door.
Maria jumped and deactivated her powers, that even her parents didn't know about.Mat got up from her desk and opened her door, instantly glaring at Luke "why are you here?"
Luke glared back at Mat "i coups ask you the same thing." He said before smiling "i came to apologize to Maria." He pushed Mat aside and went into her room, bowing respectfully in front if her, holding out the rose "Maria, please accept my apology. I shouldn't have been so rude to you in the past."
Maria looked at him, dumbfounded "What are you trying to pull now?"Mat moved back over by Maria "Why would she forgive her only bully?"
Maria sighed "Mat, just shut up, this doesn't involve you
Mat looked at Maria kind of surprised
Luke looked up at her, serious. "nothing. I never realized that you took what i said to heart. I was only ever trying to joke around with you." He still held the fresh rose out for get to take. "please accept this rose as my apology and... Keep the necklace?"
"You mean the necklace you stole? ManHunter has it as evidence" She stated, not looking at him"This guy knows about Noir?" Mat asked
"of course i do-wait you've told him about your powers!?" He looked at Maria incredulously.
"Yeah, so what? I trust him with that information way more than you" She snarled"Then why'd you tell him?" Mat questioned
"she didn't, i figured it out." He said, trying to ignore Mat. "I'm sorry okay? Can we be actual friends please? Or... Maybe more than friends?" He looked away coolly, blushing. He still had the rose extended to her "please take the rose, my arms is starting to hurt..."
"Why do you think I'd ever want to be dating you, let alone actual friends" she glared at the floor, using one of her shadows to take the rose and disappear under her bed
"because I've had a crush on you since forever?" He said bluntly. "i really mean it when i say i never meant to hurt you, physically, mentally, nor emotionally." He murmured, looking at her again. He had completely forgotten of Mat's existence in the room.
"Why don't you just run back to your 'father' and leave me alone" she hissed, the shadows in the room started to snake out all over from her anger"hey, Maria, calm down" Mat said, putting a hand on her shoulder, which seemed to calm her down a bit
Luke sat on the ground "he isn't even home. And my 'sister' almost stabbed through my hand ten minutes ago so... Can i please stay? I promise I'll be good!" He used the puppy dog eyes, which were actually incredibly cute.
