Hi Gauri...Honestly I am no expert at writing a blog...I just began...I have posted 2 of my poems there...

Personally, I feel that blog is a place where your mind has to speak with no constraints and restrictions what so ever. It s a place where you absolutely have to open up your heart.

Don't write a blog for others to read it. Write one for yourself. Its yours and yours alone. Play in your space, and above all enjoy your space.

Its a virtual playground of bliss, which only you own. Of course others can sneak a peek, but they have to admire it for whats originally and truly yours.

If you find time check my blog and share your comments.

I am also a budding writer, aspiring actually. I had started writing one story (5000 words into it). Have to complete it, but procrastination and work pressure is plaguing my efforts.

Hope this helps... ALL THE BEST with your blog...

Always my best wishes for any budding writer...!!!

Kathy (leenbee) It's best to find a blogging site to work with like Blogspot or Wordpress. I personally prefer working with Blogspot as it's more user-friendly. Some people prefer Wordpress as it has a more professional appearance. I'm just not technically inclined, so I stick to the easiest. Google the word "blogspot" and then you should find links by blogspot on how to start a blog. They explain it to you pretty well. It's basically one step at a time. Blogspot shows you how to come up with a website name and setting out your blog is quite easy with them. Any more questions?

Michael_mote | 5 comments I was pretty much going to say what Kathy (up there) said.

Blogspot and Wordpress aren't bad places to start. Weebly is also very good, and fairly easy to customize, and it's what I'm currently using.

Weebly is a world-wide website builder. I think the question asked was the difference between a website and a blog. Blogs are self-creations, I think (in my opinion). Plus you can develop followers that will 'page' your social networking anytime. I would suggest to any writer the gadget mechanisms of blogs. Blogsters, Blogspot, and my all time favorite, Tumblr are useful blog builders.

I use Blogspot for the book blog I am a co-author of.

However, I use Weebly to run my fashion website. :)

Michael_mote | 5 comments The first question was 'how do I make a blog?' That can be done on Weebly as easily as Blogspot, but you're right, it may not have all the gadgets of a dedicated blog site. I enjoy it though, and it has everything I need.

I personally find Weebly better for more "display" website. Blog elements are 10x easier on Blogger.
