Jake noticed the girl on the skateboard and immediately said, "Hello"

"Hi.." Faren looked up moving her bangs out the way. She wondered why he approached her.
"You gotta name?" Jake asked tugging the chords on his backpack
Faren tied her shoes up and got her phone out."So whats up?"
"Nothing right now, bout to ditch school and get a tattoo" Jake replies
"Coolness I have one already.." Faren took a picture of herself.
"I do too I'm just getting another. Any ideas?" Jake says
"No...I only have one and I got it because I used to have a boyfriend and he wanted us to get matches kind...but he never got it he said it was to girly." Faren sighed and put her phone back up.
"I'm sorry to hear that" Jake said now regretting he asked
"Don't be I actually love it." Faren smiled.
"That's always good" Jake says feeling better
"Can I see your tattoo?" Faren asked not sure if she was invading his privacy.
"Sure give me a sec" he sits down on the floor and starts pulling up his pants leg, and it reveals a cross on his calf that has lettering on it.
"What's that say?" Faren pointed at the lettering.
"In memory Melissa Thomas. She was my cousin but she died of leukemia 2 years back. She was a very strong girl" Jake says tearing up
"Im sorry.." Faren looked into his eyes.
"No worries, she's home now" Jake says with a smile
"You're...." Faren was embarrassed to say it.
"Your what?" Jake raised an eyebrow confused
"Ummm...you're nice.." Faren looked away.
"Oh.... thank you, you not bad yourself." Jake gives her another smile
Faren blushed."Nobody has said that before."
"Trust me sister, as long as I'm here, you wont stop hearing it." He says looking into her eyes
"What does that mean?" Faren got up and walked furthe back behind the bleachers.
"Every day now I am going to find you and tell you your a nice person until your tired of hearing it. He laughs a little and walks towards her.
Faren backs away."Umm...I'm tired of hearing it."
Jake notices she retreating and backs off. "I'm sorry, I just get excited when I meet new people."
"Well...umm...I think your boyfriend material.." Faren says speaking her mind accidentally.
"What? Ummmm.... thanks, your pretty cool too." Jake steps back more the a sharp pain shoots through his head which makes him stumble back against the wall. He slides his back down the wall with one hand on his head.
Faren crouches down next to him."Oh my god..I'm so sorry." She blushes."I normally don't say things like that."
"No your fine. That's awesome. Give me a sec" Jake says before removing his backpack unzipping it then starts to fumble through it till he finds a bottle of pills, he takes one then puts it back in his backpack.
Jake gets back up after his little spill he took, and noticed a girl came in crying. He walked up to her and said, "Hey, what's wrong?"
"Oh my God... I'm so sorry" Jake said feeling much empathy
"My name is Jake Thomas, and you may have just met me, but if you need any help I'm here. Remember that." Jake said putting his hand on her shoulder
"Me too.."Faren said softly. "My mom died of cancer when I was 10.
"My cousin who I was really close to died from leukemia 2 years ago. She wasnt just a cousin, she was my best friend." Jake said softly
"Other than that I live alone..." Faren looked at the girl who was crying earlier.

"Don't be.."Faren got up and skated out from the bleachers.
((We will just let it ride for now, timing is everything I don't think they should become one right away but hold on a sec I have to do something real quick brb))
((Alright I'm back)) Jake looked over at Faron and gave a quick smile
Faren skated to the end of the bleachers and back."Well...this is awkward"
"The tension.." Faren jumped off her board and sat back down.
"Agreed. Why don't we try to break the tension?" Jake asks
