Murphy lives here. If you want to use books to gain empathy for others hardships,meven if you don't think they are hardships, start with this book. I have a new perspective and cannot recommend it enough.

I've read 24 which is 2%. I've think I've seen more movies of these books, than books read!

I've read 74 and was utterly heartbroken. There are many books on this list that I have meant to read (like Dicken's) but never have. I saved the list and will be using it to pick new things - if I ever get done with the mountain of books I have in my "to read" pile. :-)

I believe i've only read about 3. Two of Hemmingways, and I hated both, and The Great Gatsby. I tried to read The Time Machine and I didn't care for it, but LOVE the original movie. And I havn't read any Virginia Woolf but she was popular on that list.

I've read 99 and I'm confused because I've done the 100 books you must read list set by the guardian newspaper! Sometimes these lists are full of rubbish but I loved Germinal, A Fine Balance, A Town Like Alice ooh loads actually that I never in a million years would I have picked those up before a 'list' said I should

I have actually quite a few of the books on the list. Of course I won't tell how many I have read and disappoint some people! I have a goal right now to read all the books on the list.
There is also 1001 Children Books You Should Read Before You Grow Up. Which might be fun for some of you to look at!

I can't count them right now but I saw two one the shipping news I haaaaated that book and trainspotting, that one was so hard (Scottish lingo ugh) I have up. I can't wait to count them.

Hmm, I've read 33 of them, though for some I can't even bring myself to remember the plotline. So many books on that list I haven't even heard of.
Better get reading then! Since about 40 or so of those books are lying around the house without having been read so far. :-)
