So! Some good and handy things to know.

Did you know that you, (Yes, you!) can create these nifty discussion threads. You can! On the right hand side of the page, near the top, click the handy "Discussions" button. From that point, at the top of the screen, there is a "new topic" thread. You can then make any sort of topic you like, and stick it in the appropriate folder. If you need a new appropriate folder, let me know, and I'll make it happen.

Spoilers! Part of a book club is, well, reading. And then talking about the books. But we don't want to spoil it for those that are not as far along. Enter, the spoiler tag! By typing this:

Hi Allison!
Just beside the Discussions option I saw a polls option. I was wondering whether that option could be used by our group, too?

Yeah, I don't see any reason why not! Do you have suggestions for how to use them? I'm thinking either fun stuff from the current book we're reading, or an easy way to give feedback as to what book we should read next.

Yeah, I guess stuff from our currently reading book would be great. Also we could even make a system in which when someone is confused between some options of books to read than he/she can put up a poll and the others can give their suggestions through the poll. And of course, other members should also share their views about using this option. Allison, if you could alert the others about this discussion so that they can share their views about it?

Wait, we have the option to have polls? Why didn't we use that last month to pick the next book?!?! *kermit flail of panic*

...Or this month, in fact? We'll probably figure that out in the Hangout tomorrow or Wednesday, but maybe we can remember to use it for July's book... :-)

Sure! The hangout is tomorrow. We'll talk about the poll idea there, and then get it set up for July. We'll use it to pick the books at least, maybe for fun discussions too.

Oops. Didn't see that we'd discuss the poll option, I got ahead of the plan and made it anyway. *shrug* I guess we'll see how it goes with mere days to vote. Though, I did set the poll to go till June 5th...

Well, I was going through the polls option and I found a new poll about the two books a month option. I voted and then I saw that other than me only Bon had voted. I thought that the topic was kinda important so I posted about it in this discussion so that the others know about it and can vote...
