Words just fail me to explain what I went through as i read this book. Such rich and vibrant Kannada vocabulary - ( some of the words I never came across in kannada earlier). Initially one has to refer back to the pages read to connect the dots but once the characters are familiar the book just takes you through it. Be it Guthi and its obedient dog Huliya - the lovelorn couple Itha and Pinchalu, gutti and thimmy, Chinnamma and her lover Mukunda is refreshing to read. The book also gives a glimpse of the prevailing caste system and the richness and the beauty of the Malnad region. Simply adorable
