Elements of a Story: Binary by John Lange

John Lange is a pseudonym of Michael Crichton, the author famous for The Great Train Robbery, The Andromeda Strain, and Jurrasic Park. Mind though that John Lange does not write like Michael Crichton.

Binary is an otherwise simple read, but the events are quite mysterious indeed. While the language and structure are quite plain, the distant meaning is certainly deeper.

I see some psychologically durable elements of Binary that I would like to discuss here at Conflict Action Thrillers. Most of them are about the main character Graves, but there are others, too. The antagonist is especially queer throughout himself and the narrative.

It is an old book coming from 1972, but contains a series of events that deliver a unique complexity.
