the folks at crossroad are great ... wonderful to work with, actually.

Hi, Kathy!
Welcome to GR. It's a great place.
I'm a huge fan of your late husband.
I also have a few of your novels on my shelves.
Pleasure to meet you.
Not a lot going on in the Crossroad Press group yet, but we're working on it. I've been hanging out with Jon and some others over in the Horror Aficionado's Group.

in fact, i'm kind of lost. hahahahaha.
There are lots of things here...but yeah, there's LOTS of things, and it's hard to find all the places that fit well ...
Here's what I did. I searched on the GROUPS link at the top. I searched horror, urban fantasy, dark fantasy, etc. and joined the largest I could find... then just looked through the discussions for places to "take part" - never want to just jump in and promote, but as long as it's interesting, that's no problem.

The last horror book I read that I liked was Joe Hill's Heart Shaped Box. I write for Zombie Zone News (and do author interviews if you've got a relevant book you want hyped), GeekBinge (reviewing TV), and Kinkly.com
Also, I hate marketing.
Lol...welcome to the I hate marketing club...but there we are. Since we ARE the publishing machine now, we sort of have to take up the slack. Heck, you haven't reviewed any of MINE yet.

I echo Kathy's sentiment about how great the folks at Crossroad are. David's been very kind and encouraging about helping me promote my weird western short story collection, Twisted Tumbleweed Tales.
I've also enjoyed working with David and other Crossroad authors. We have a great selection of genres and titles to choose from, so browse around because you'll definitely find something worth reading.
Paul in particular saved us recently. As many of you know, author Tom Piccirilli is still recovering from a serious surgery. Paul (who does this for a living and usually gets paid) volunteered his time to proof the galleys for Tom's novel NIGHTJACK so we could do it in paperback and hardcover...welcome indeed, Mr. Wargelin.

I'm Bill. New to Crossroads Press works, but looking forward to checking some of them out.
Plus, Toby shot me an invite (Hi, Toby!) and I see Mr. Recluse is here, as well, so I know CP has got to be good (Hi, Jon!)

And I highly recommend NIGHTJACK. I was riveted throughout my "job" of proofing it. :-)

Good to "see" you, Bill!

Hey, hi Tobi, hi Mari. Hi Paul, Bill, Ashley. Hope I didn't miss anybody. Wheeeee!
Something I've noticed or am I just a bit slow on the uptake. More and more, it seems I can't dip a toe online without having a talking or singing ad appear. It's gotten pretty bad. And more than ever, single or dual words become highlighted plugs for products. Very science-fiction-y. Big Brother Sales Pitch is Watching.

regards, Stephen
Hey Stephen. It's been quiet here, as I've been prepping for an umpcoming blog tour, and had to write 27 entries of variuos types for my 'hosts'...

Starting at the end of November, I began Proofreading/Copy-editing for Crossroad Press. Thank you David and David for having me aboard. I'm looking forward to checking in here and meeting people from the group. For now I just wanted to say hello. So...Hello everybody =^_^=
