Authors profile does not exist?

I was looking for the author Ihara Saikaku. He was listed twice once as Ihara Saikaku and as Saikaku Ihara, two different pages for one and the same author. I changed the name and merged them together to the most used name: Ihara Saikaku.

My problem is that I get this page when I want to go to the authors page (however, I can search for the name and all the books get listed). It was not my first time that I merged two authors profiles, but the first time something went wrong.

That happens sometimes* when author profiles merge. Here's a trick: in the URL you get, change "show" to "edit" and you'll get the edit page for the author profile. Hit the save button there (you don't need to make any changes) and that will four times out of five reset whatever it was in the author profile that was broken.

* Yeah, it would probably be a good idea to keep a list of this for the GR support people to look at. I know, I know! But I debug for a living; I get to be lazier with my hobbies.
