What did you originally think was in the chamber of secrets? treasure? if so specify. Monsters? if so, what kind of monster? And NOBODY say Basilisk, because until the book was over, you didn't know what a basilisk was.

I was around 8 years old when I read it, and I didn't really have an opinion of what would be in there, I just sat there like "OH MY GOD WHAT IS IN THAT CHAMBER I CAN'T ASFGHJHHJ".
I thought it was some type of magical creature. Eight year old me was leaning towards either a dragon or the giant squid.
I thought it was the Phoenix like the one on the front of the cover.

I thought it was a secret hiding spot for an association of really old and powerful wizards that were captured and harvested for their powers. Or something along that road.
I dunno..dark magic of some sort..nothing specific..jsut dark magic..

I thought it was Voldemort himself, no matter he was supposed to be decapitated and in hiding. No joke, I was such an idiot, ah, 11 year olds.
