Gwen laughed. "Thanks," she said and then walked hesitantly.

"Come on, we have to search for stuff," she told him.
"Okay" he said, linking arms just for support.
Gwen did half a smile and then hesitantly walked with him towards the crash site.
It was a 30 minute walk, since they had to get away from it earlier. "So, where are you from Joe?"
Gwen nodded with a slight smile. "I'm from New York."
Gwen chuckled. "Yeah, I guess."
He grinned, "what's it like there?"
"Busy,' she sighed. "Me and my husb- Daniel," she breathed out. "Went on a trip to relax."
Gwen nodded and then saw the crash site. It was all black and burned.
They worked their way over to the suitcases, quite a few had survived.
Gwen searched through a red one and found clothes, shoes and jewellery.
He just opened any of them. "Shall we just bring them back to the shelter?"
Gwen nodded. "Good idea," she said, grabbing the red one and a small backpack whic, to her surprise, was still intact
He carried about four or five back to the shelter.
Gwen carried them back and dropped them by the hut once she was there, exhausted.
He sighed, "sit down, rest your leg"
Gwen nodded and sat down, pushing her black hair back.
He opened some of them "hats, sunblock, t shirts, underwear, soap, shampoo, socks, shoes, condoms, lady things..., phones with no signal, money, hair dryers, bags, some food" he said, saying everything he pulled out.
Gwen nodded and then laughed. "Condoms? Lady things?"
"What?" He laughed. "You are a women right?"
"Ya, but just the way you said it," she grinned.
He rolled his eyes, "it's an awkward topic"
Gwen shrugged. "I guess" she said. "I found this " sh said showing him the backpack.
Gwen opened it and gasped. "It's from a hiker! Rope, and water!"
He couldn't help but chuckle at her expression.
Gwen laughed as well. "This helps us out a lot! And look, a lighter!"
"Good, because I found some cigarettes too"
"Do you smoke?" she asked him curiously.
He nodded. "And I'm gagging for one now"
Gwen chuckled but wrinkled her nose. "I don't like cigarettes.
"Well, I don't like the smell," she shrugged.
"Shall I sit away from you then" he smiled.
"No," she said with a soft smile. "I like the company."
"Fine" he said and sat next to Gwen, grabbing a cigarette.
Gwen smiled sligthly and then looked at her leg, hesitantly stretching it.
He lit it, groaning in delight, "I missed smoking"
Gwen laughed softly. "I see."
He grinned, blowing the smoke away from her. "Tell me about yourself Gwen"
"Well... I'm 18 years old, from New York," she began, making patterns in the sand with her fingers. She smiled sligthly at him. "I work as an artist. I love painting.."
