Lady of the Lake Hi every one! I wanted to jump in...first A LIBRARY THAT DELIVERS!!!???? WOW! HEAVEN!

I USED to get my books all new at B&N because it was my favorite place to be..a cup of coffee and I searched the shelves forever! Then I went to ordering from B&N then from AMAZON then all the used sites...(my library is AWFUL) Plus I would love to keep my books after reading!! They become my friends..sad I know... But my husband came home after being gone 8 months in Iraq..(he had 14 days home yay)..the first day he walked into our bedroom and said.."Uh honey? Where is the bed?" Okay so that is a tad dramatic but it is FULL of books! So he bought me a Kindle2..but I thought I would hate it..I love the look feel smell of books! NOW I LOVE MY KINDLE!!!!! So that is where I get most of the current books I am reading even though I have MANY on my TBR mountain still waiting for me. So....the Kindle is addictive I can get all first chapters or so, then when I feel the NEED to continue..60 seconds later it is ready to go! I know you ALL understand how it is when you NEED to get to the next book in a series...this way it is instant gratification. However I still wind up getting some books as not ALL are available on the K2 YET! (and I just want to say a quick THANX to everyone here in PNR here who have given great recommendations and great reviews for ideas on books! I am HOOKED on PNR!!!

lol Elizabeth. My hubby doesn't complain til he comes to bed and finds the bed covered with books. Yes, I do sleep with my books. Sigh, I know, weird, right? But they can be so hard to put DOWN.

I do the same thing. I love to read late at night when it's quiet!

new_user | 1389 comments Really, Karen? That's interesting. I used BooksFree and I had two at a time for about 10/mo. You could ship your books piecemeal, but they always had to process the return before they shipped anything out-- and shipping took a long time, unless you're East coast. It took even longer if you were insistent on "priority" or order of books (a series, for example).

The nice thing was they had most of the recent PNR. Condition was good and search was easy. If shipping didn't take so long, it would have definitely beat buying.

How long's the shipping on yours?

DarkHeart "Vehngeance" (darkheart) | 737 comments I've been a happy customer of B&N for the past year, but a recent experience and a complete and utter lack of customer service from them has me heading back to Amazon. Amazon's winning big points with me for getting three 28 April releases to me on 24 April. =)

Heather (fantasy_mom) | 28 comments I almost always get my books from Overstock.com

They have low shipping on any size order ($2.95) and their prices are just as good if not better than Amazon (for new books, and I usually buy new).

new_user | 1389 comments Yep, same concept. It took about a week to ship, I believe.
