Hi,
My name is Jessica and I am a stay at home mom to my three year old son.
I'm just getting back to creating some time for myself, now that my son is older and more independent. I'm looking forward to reading and discussing new books and to getting to know everyone!

Thanks for the warm welcome!
This has been a fun age - my son is really starting to come into his personality. He's doing a half day pre-school program, and its so strange to realize that my 'baby' has a life outside of me. Do you have boys or girls, or one from each column?

And thanks to Atishay, Lisa & Hayes for the welcome messages. I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone!

Hi Jo-Ann,
Nice to meet you.
How old are your two children?

And congrats on your new authorship - that's really exciting - what is your book about?

Jessica, I have two boys. And yeah, when they were both enrolled in Preschool, those three hours away from me were upsetting in the begining. Youre not there, they are having experiences without you, it was really strange at first...

Then I realised... HA! I have alone time! How awesome!

Hi,

I have an 8 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. My daughter pretty much plays mommy with him, it is so funny.

I started writing a couple of years ago, and then left the manuscript on hold for a while. I never really considered publishing it, until last year.

The Leaf is a book for those who love fiction, nature and the wonders that the imagination can bring to life.

Back cover summary:
In the beautiful land of Bellager a young boy named David shares a passion for leaf collecting. During his childhood years his grandfather Edward shares an interesting set of stories about Bellager's history. While many believe the stories are created by Edward's great imagination, Edward believes them as true.

As David grows into a young man, an unexpected enemy rises from the past. Evil forces invade the once peaceful land. David and his dear friends: Jonathan, Peter and Grace go on a quest in search for a miraculous leaf and the Great Tree of Wisdom that his grandfather had mentioned in his stories. It is this unique leaf that gives the people the hope of restoring peace in Bellager.

Thanks for your interest,
Jo-Ann
