The other book was released in 2011 July so why isn't this coming out this year? Also, how come Wiki of Ice and Fire have plot points from WoW? (example, go to any major character page and see their stories for each book, which includes WoW)

why is it coming in 2015 and not in 2014? soo anyoing

There is no standard timeline for releasing the next book in a series so I don't know why you'd expect it to be this year. For ASOIAF in particular, take a look at the gaps between previous books and you'll see that 2013 was a very ambitious estimate. Truth is, no release date has been set and 2015 is just another estimate that probably shouldn't be there. I don't know why it was added and I have contemplated removing it but probably another librarian will just wrongly add it again so there's no point.

Some sample chapters have been released from WoW - the wiki probably picked them up from these. But I don't see a section for WoW on any major character's page if that's what you mean. Maybe they were removed as spoilers.

Martin's epic is much more involved than Wheel of Time. All told, I'd rather wait for a great book than get a repeat of the slog that was book 4.

OK. I really like this series. I must. I bought Dance with Dragons in hard cover and I'm pretty sure it was priced by the pound. I've gotten the first three season on DVD. Having said that, I am just about one waiting fot WOW when it seems Mr.Martin ha had time to edit four anthologies and "several new volumes" in his Wild Card series. So it isn't that h isn't writing, he just isn't writing in THIS series. So, since that is the case, and I may not live long enough to see the end of this thing (well all right that's overly dramatic but you get where I'm coming from here) I quit. If he gets in published any time within this century OK, but I'm no longer checking for publishing dates. There enough good authors out there that I won't lack for reading material and life is too short to continue to jolly along guy who--for reasons I don't understand has a "take it or leave it" attitude toward his reader.

If Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson can write 15 amazing books in a series from the early 1990s to 2013, why can't George R.R. Martin write a 6th book in the same amount of time? Martin's books are mediocre compared to the Wheel of Time series, and he focuses a little too much on chapters involving child pornography. A Song of Ice and Fire has some great characters, but is nowhere near comparable to Wheel of Time. I bet you could read all 15 books before Martin publishes his next one.

Jordan was a mediocre author, caught in adolescent writing and overly concerned with what his characters were wearing and how no one ever seemed to tire of grousing about the opposite gender.
