Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Got this in an email this morning.

A message to our loyal subscribers regarding our daily Free Kindle Books email.

Effective April 1st, 2013, in conformance with Amazon's new affiliate policies, we have had to put our daily Free Kindle Books email on hold.

We are currently testing out some new ideas on our main website and will be looking into what we can do with our daily notifications within the next few weeks.

You can still visit http://uk.ereaderiq.com or http://uk.freereadfeed.com/ to get your daily freebie fix.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Vanessa (aka Dumbo) (vanessaakadumbo) | 8459 comments I don't get the e-mails from them but do use the site quite often.

I noticed the other day that it had all changed and they now have only just over a page of free books, the ones that have got the most stars I think. The freereadfeed link is more like the original site, although I don't like it as much for some reason.

I suppose I'll get used to it though.

Misterg | 254 comments I got the email too. Went to freereadfeed and got a couple of books. Hit ereaderIQ classic view and there's something about "due to Amazon being a totally fascist organisation we cannot show you the all the free books because the capitalists want your money" - OK; I might have got some of this wrong. I clicked the message after a cursory glance and I am in no way implying that Amazon are money grabbing fascists!

Should have checked this before I stared another thread. Please feel free to delete said thread!

Basically, as amazon flooded the market themselves with free books and introduced the KDP select programme, what are they playing at!! How are we supposed to find what interests among the hundreds on offer each day? I would encourage greater use of our freebie thread on here - authors to let us know about their books, and readers to highlight any goodies that we do find. Wonder what amazon will do to that thread once they take over goodreads... Why bother to offer so many free and encourage exclusivity with indies by kdp select if they then make it difficult for us to find those books??

Jim | 21813 comments Just a question, do these sites offer free books that aren't 'from the Amazon stable' as it were?

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

I've never noticed that - most of them only highlight amazon books.

Jim | 21813 comments I just wondered, because obviously Amazon won't be happy with sites which plug books that aren't on Amazon
