Hello all,

I am an avid reader from waaaay back, I am also strange and unique, which I wear like a cape. I was brought up on a daily dose of Dr Who, so really I was destined to be a bit geeky.

I am obsessed with animation but will venture out and watch other things if it tickles my fancy. However I would much rather be reading than watching the telly.

My favourite fandoms are Studio Ghibli/Hayo Miazaki, Harry Potter, Dr Who and Game of Thrones. My pet hates are Twighlight (Vampires do NOT sparkle in the sun they catch fire and turn to dust or explode violently in a gorey mess!) and chicklit

I look forward to getting some good recommendations and getting to know you.

Hi Emily! Welcome! The X-Files and Doctor Who are awesome! :D I also stopped at the beginning of the 11th Doctor, but have begun again with 12, and I'm loving it so far so I'd recommend starting it again!

If there had to be a reappearance from a past doctor, I would vote for David Tennant. I hope at least we get a decently hot guy for the new regeneration. And same about the girl thing. I know they did that with the Master and it worked for him, but I don't think it would be the right fit for the Doctor. At least make him ginger, BBC!
