That's not good!!!! Did u call Hawkeye?
Wow this thread really blew up since I was last here. XD Welcome everyone! :D 'fraid I've never had sweet tea, but from all the talk sounds like I should! Is it the same as iced tea, or different?
It's different, but delicious. You should totally try it! And if you do, get it from Chick-fil-a if you have one near where you live. They have the best sweet tea.
To - νєяαℓι∂αιиєHey I was wondering, whats your username? What I mean by that is why are some of the letters/symbols backwards and swirly and different? Is it a different language or something? Not trying to offend, you don't have to answer if you don't want to.
Oh um... I actually can't remember how I did it. It's meant to be "Veralidaine" except in fancy writing. (Though yes, they did steal some letters from different languages, for example, the back to front "R" is a Russian letter... But my actual username is in English). If you want to do it, you can probably just google "fancy text writer" or something. :) Hope that makes it clearer! :)
Guys I'm going to booksamillion tomorrow and I'm only allowed to pick out a book and maybe a bookmark. What should I get? I'm thinking possibly The Raven Boys, but idk. Give me some suggestions!
I haven't read the Raven boys yet but I have heard so many wonderful things about it and I definitely look forward to reading it. I like to wander the bookshelves with my goodreads in hand and getting to touch the books, read the first two pages, and see what grabs my attention. The first book I read this year was Amy Schumer's "The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo" it took me about two and a half days to complete and I laughed and cried. Amy Schumer has a bit of reputatio non Tumblr for being a "White-Feminist" or "Non-intersectional feminist" which I don't understand because in everything I've read or seen all she says is that she is a feminist (because who isn't) but really her main activism gig has to do with gun control and gun safety laws. She was part of a meeting for these exact things with President Obama and several other activists. The whole story is included in her book and in the back she even includes a list of every congress (wo)man/senator who voted against any sort of control on dangerous people having access to fire arms. It is certainly my favorite non-fiction book I've read in a very long time.
A good fiction-suspense would be "The Outliers". I am so in love with this book and there was a point that I got so wrapped up in it that I had to put it down and go stand in the sunshine for a second because I couldn't remember what year it was. Don't trust the synopsis it doesn't do the story justice. Even though I enjoyed this book so much I still only gave it three stars because there was a character that could have been portrayed better and there was one particular part that was impossible and another that was predictable. But these are all minor things that every book is going to have.
Fiction - Brain candy. My favorite genre. "The Graveyard Book" by Neil Gaiman is Brain Candy Book-terbation. I love the characters, I love the curiosity of the little girl, I was impressed that a little boy teaches us to never judge anyone based on what others say, I love that even in death a couple gets a second chance at parenthood. Everything about this book has stuck with me and it's the type of book that I want to keep multiple copies of in my car so I can hand them out to people like others do with the christian holy book.
I'm not very chatty until you ask me about what books you should read. I'm much better behind a computer though. Also I just had coffee so I'm at peak brain performance for the day and it's only 8:30am.
Oh my goodness same. But I have different sides of me where I'll be very warm and talkative and the other side wishes I'd been born as a rock when I have to talk to a stranger.
I can relate. The only time I can hang out in a group of people is if they're all in my house. If I have to go somewhere then I'll probably say I'm going but never show up. Now I really want to go to Half Price Books and Barnes and Nobles.
I won't be going until about 9:00 tonight. I really don't know if I can contain my excitement for that long.
heyo! I'm a newbie here and I just joined :)) feel free to add me so we can discuss anything YA + SHERLOCK + HP
@Rataru I just got back from Barnes & Noble and I ended up getting Cinder and Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. I'm so excited to read them!
YAS! Can't wait to hear what you think. Those are on my list (at least Cinder is I think).Welcome, a-series-of-suwen!
Hi everyone! I’m Lien. I’ve always loved to read since my very first book of fairytales. Books are my personal way to travel, explore, understand myself and the world around me. I don’t have a favourite genre. Generally, if a book sounds intriguing, chances are I’ll read it regardless of the author, theme, etc.
Along with reading, I enjoy taking pictures (mostly of landscapes) and taking walks in the woods. I like to study thanks to my inner Ravenclaw, I’m incredibly curious and hopelessly nerd.
Unfortunately, in the last few year I hadn’t had enough time to read, but in December I decided to catch up with good healthy habits like reading. I want to try as many different genres and authors as I could, expanding my reading “comfort zone”.

Not yet.. even if it seems cool. Do you recommend it?
Apryl wrote: "I'm also Ravenclaw. I guess everyone who likes to read would lean towards that house."
I think you're right! :)
Has anyone here read the 5th wave series? I just finished the last one and I need someone else's feels to relate to bc I'm dying on the inside
I've read it!! The ending was so unexpected but a great conclusion to the trilogy in my opinion! That's all I'm gonna say about the last star though so no one gets spoiled.
I don't want to spoil it for anyone but I will say that I'm lying on my bed sobbing right now and I can't handle all this sadness.... I seriously need some help
You'll be fine!! I didn't cry while reading it but I was on the edge of tears, did you like the book overall?
I had a lot of mixed feelings! I felt like the characters lost all of their logic and I got really mad when a certain person took off with another person after someone that 'loved' her. It also probably didn't help that I was listening to depressing piano music while reading it
I agree with that for sure, yeah it's not a good idea to listen to sad music while reading that book or any sad book...
Hello everybody my name is Emily :) I love reading sooooo much!!! I can talk about books for hours and hours on end
You can copy/paste I think. Im on my phone and I have trouble doing it.

Welcome Lien, a-series-of-suwen, Emily and Audra!
@Audra, I'm afraid I can't help you with that question, I only ever use a computer for goodreads, sorry. :/ However I'm sure someone else on here will be able to help you!
