Night Owl Has anyone read Mist Over Pendle by Robert Neill? The synopsis of The Daylight Gate reads like a direct lift from his book, even the title is a line from the book. There is a discussion of Mist Over Pendle on GR. It makes me furious when an authors work is used for another writers gain whether it's the use of another's character, adaptation of the title or plot.

Of course the synopsis is similar they are both novels based upon the real events of the Pendle witch trials that took place in Lancashire in 1612.

I'm aware of that, I live quite close to Pendle Hill. The characters and plotting are more than similar.

Dee if its based on true events, which is was, then of course the characters and events that occur are going to be similar...its based on people who actually existed...but I've never even heard of Mist Over Pendle
