As far as I know, there is no minimum of librarian activity required to keep the status.

I don't think you need to give up your librarian status: just don't make edits if you don't have the time, but when you can even a few edits every now and then are useful.

Quite correct. Some librarians do hundreds of edits a day; some have done 6 in two years. We appreciate the entire range.

Certainly. Your librarian status can be removed, and a note left so we'll know why it was removed (in case you change your mind in a few months).
